Gears Of War(PC) Serious Problem

Ok this is basically the problem,2 days ago (January 27 2009) i was playing Gears Of War(PC) for at least 2 hours. Yesterday (January 28 2009, 7:30 PM eastern time) Gears Of War(PC) say`s this message (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Gears of War\wargame-g4wlive.exe: You cannot run the game with modified executable code. Please reinstall the game.) Naturally i said (WTF).
But this is the thing i was talking to 2 of my friends while this happened and they were both as well playing Gears Of War(PC),friend one`s game randomly closed on him, so he decided to re-open it, but then he got the same message that i got. Friend 2, says (WTF is going on?) and decides to close his game and re-open it, then he gets the same message. All 3 of us were wondering what is going on, friend 1 decided to restart his computer to see if that helps. When he came back and tried it, it did not work. Then i decided to see re-installing the game(like the message said to do) would help in anyway, 2 hours later STILL THE SAME MESSAGE. We all got irritated and decided to play halo 2(PC). Later I called microsoft to see if they knew how to fix it or whats the problem. Sadly and surprisingly not even they knew what was going on or what the problem was. Later we found out nearly the WHOLE Gears of War(PC) community was having the SAME problem. So if this is happening to you and you read this message you are not alone. Hopefully a member of the Epic Games Forums or a staff member reads this message.

P.S (ALL of us had a legal game that we all bought.)
P.SS (I really wana play gears of war..so if there is someone out there who knows how to fix this problem, I beg of you post it on this thread, on a video, in anyway possible that we can fix it and play.)

Epic signed the game's exe file with a digital signature. The game' DRM checks the signature to ensure you're not using a cracked version. Problem is, the signature just expired:

Maybe they are getting set to announce GoW 2 for PC.

Just change the date on your pc to January 26th

this is only a temporary fix and u need to follow this steeps every time you are going to open the game untill Epic finds a way to fix this

I got the same problem too but I don't want to have to always go to my CMOS and monkey with it, this is horse crap! I'll wait for them to perform a function, when they hear a popping noise, its them pulling their heads out of their butts!

Whatever is required to fix it, the problem itself is truly unacceptable for any developer. There's really no problem regarding the protection of legal games and their customers, but everyone who bought a legal copy must be able to play the game without this kind of interference. Looks like it's date editing time then..
