Demorec not working in all of the beta patches

This isnt really a troubleshooting problem but a bug report.

Demorecording doesnt work online - ever since betapatch #1, it just loads nothing at the map start list.

I just want to say that, in my case, demo playback has never worked on my system, regardless of what beta patch I use. From the stock install to beta 1 and 2. And regardless of whether or not it's recorded online or locally. Not complaining, as I realize this is something that'll be worked on. But I am not sure if the problem is with the recording of the demos, or something that is wrong with the playback feature.

I was told it worked offline - but it doesnt for me either.

Hi Mystikal. How are you recording the demo? Is this instant action?

Hey, WT.

'demorec demo1' in the console.

If I try it online, it looks like it's fine (you can stop recording and everything) however when you try to play it, it just continues loading (the U logo still spinning).

The same thing happens in Instant Action aswell.

I'm on the latest beta patch.

hmm same here, it just loads forever. Not the case with the unpatched version. Oh and I record with the console, I connect to a server and enter: demorec blub

Hi guys. Demo recording is only server side which includes instant action. Using the UI option works, but I don't think those console commands do.

Is there a way to access server siede recorded demos from the client? (if you are not server admin)
