Epic are aware of the problem. You would hope they have been aware of it for quite some time considering the game has been out 3 months and this forum has been bombarded with threads about this not working or that not working. Mark Rein has posted in another thread confirming that yes, Epic are awre.

However there is no ETA or details other than that.

I had to come here and post...I was on the second act...just got through checkpoint 1...was headed to checkpoint 2. Took a break to get a drink...came back and my saved games were gone. What a Sham! I am wondering if we should just sent complaints to the Attorney General's office in the state where we live and report Epic. This is bogus. You purchase a game for this kind of price and it burns you over and over again. My first post is NOT a happy one.

I wrote this e mail to the PC Game editor of Gamespot...the Ziff Net magazine. They gave the game a 9.0 rating and recommended it. If you want..I suggest innundating him with e mails, etc.

The game has had a bug since day 1. Saved games disappear with no warning. You can be halfway through the game...pause for a second and poof...your saved game is gone and you are back at the beginning. On the Epic forums, there are over 30 pages of complaints and pleas to Epic and Microsoft to fix the saved game bug...all being ignored.

Then...Gamespot has the Audacity to give the game a 9.0 rating stating how wonderful the PC version is. How can it be wonderful if it doesn't work properly Why are people constantly running around in circles trying to get past certain levels, only to have their saved games wiped again???? This is not a good game...it is a Class Action Lawsuit waiting to happen


Shame on Epic Games. Shame on Microsoft. But, mostly shame on Gamespot...where taking advertising money is more important tnan telling it's readers the truth. THIS GAME IS BROKEN and no one want to take responsibility and rfix it. Don't believe me...READ

Sorry for the rant...but I am sure you can understand the frustration of spending hours on something only to have it blow up in your face. I purchased this game, primarily based on GAMESPOT review. I promise you that I will NEVER trust Gamespot reviews ever again. I think it a Travesty that advertising money is more important than telling purchasers the truth about a product. Gents,

I was having a problem with creating a profile. After reading the posts here, I was able to fix that issue by getting the latest version of Windows Live.
I now have a profile and I am able to alter and save settings.

I run the game in SP just fine. My problem is when attempting to update Live or playing multiplayer.

The problem is that when Windows Live tries to run an update automatically,
it exits that game, launches a CMD line box. Then my ASUS Bios screen launches like it is trying to update my BIOS.

I do not want to do that ! When I hit cancel, that whole process stops and nothing seems to get done.

I have registered and set up a profile on 'Live' earlier, but it doesn't seem to find it. I got the free GOLD for 1 month offer. I have a profile for XBOX now. I don't even have an XBOX! Would my profile be the same for XBOX and Windows Live ? Confused about the difference.

Any clues ?

Let me know if I need I need to provide any more info. This game has great potential if I can play it !

I returned the game to the store. I got fed up with waiting for a patch. In fact I'm wondering if there ever is one coming (for losing checkpoints). Otherwise I liked the game but when it kept losing the checkpoints/save games, this really put me off the game. I tried getting support before returning it.

I removed this piece of ---- from my computer. Got 9.9 GB of hard drive space back for another game. I wrote to Microsoft / Epic and sent e mails to State of Texas, where I live...stating that Epic Games is fraudalent with this game. It is my hope that you reach out to your authorities and complain. Don't think I can take it back to the store...since I purchased it a few months ago. Game had seriious potential, if Epic decided NOT to rip us all off! I will tell you this...Epic will NEVER see another dollar of mine! Fact! It would do justice for them to go belly up!
