if the iris is closed how can the attackers get in, weapon fire doesnt go through teleports, unless its a warpzone, but hitscan weapons dont work on warpzones, so the attackers wont be able to destroy the iris.

If someone got in BEFORE the iris closed they could take it out from the inside. Alternately, as it's a warpzone, the attackers can just lob rockets and suchlike through the gate until the iris retracts of it's own accord and starts to regenerate, or is blown to little itty bits.

Besides, it'll take some pummelling to take the Iris down, so there would have to be vehicles (at least one Goliath) to help the "deconstruction" effort.

If you make the iris close, have an indicator on the other side like a red light on the wall... but make it not so noticible... like they have to pay attention to it. If they go throuh while the iris is closed they die... simplae as that...SPLAT!

If not just leave without the iris, this is a DM map, not a damn TV show LOL.

Yeah...

If there is the dialling function enabled, it'd rock if you could get it to play the "Unscheduled Offworld Activation" clip whenever the planet-side gate finished dialling into the SGC.

EDIT: Here's a Stargate model I made a while back... yes, the Gate only has SEVEN CHEVRONS. (Yours appears to have 9, for some reason)

EDIT2: Killer909; if you want any more bug testing help, gimme a shout. I'd be happy to BetaTest in Beta2.

2 25-ton blast doors.

Cheyenne Mountain Complex

I still have a few small things to change/add at least. What you see is about 90% done. Past the second blast door will be the elevator.

The vehicles are just for looks and have not been planned out, but with a tunnel that is a 1/3rd of mile a mile long I have been typing "summon onslaught.onsrv" a lot.

Looking real nice, the lighting looks better, did you adjust the inside lighting at all since last test?

Lanc1988: The SGC is on the Cheyenne Mountain Complex in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The huge blast doors at the end of the tunnel are level 1 (ie, Floor 1), where the Stargate is on level 28 (ie, 28 levels below the tunnel).
At the moment, the surface map is separate from the SGC map because it is easier to build that way, but they will soon become a single map, so that you could, for example, run from the Stargate to the elevator, to level 11, past a security checkpoint, to another elevator that takes you to where the huge blast doors are, down the 1/3rd of a mile tunnel to the surface. This would be useful, if, hypothetically speaking, your mission was to take out a snakehead using a S.A.M.
Half a century ago everything behind the blast doors could withstand a direct hit from a nuke outside.

Juggalo: Thanks I am planning on adding the hatch in the hills "somewhere" and having a path that leads back to the road/complex, which I hope to make look and feel like a small hike in the mountains.
