Map (PC) TH-ShangriLa_b7(For The Haunted Mod)[Pics/Download][updated 5/25/09]

You must have The Haunted mod installed to play this map. Get it here.

Name: TH-ShangriLa_b7

Version: Beta 7

Compatibility: UT3 2.1 Titan Pack, The Haunted mod

Description: DM-ShangriLa for UT3 modified to be played with The Haunted mod. You must have The Haunted mod installed to play this map.

http://utforums.epicgames.com/showthread.php?t=677808

Comments: I decided to take a short break from the custom 'Haunted' map I'm working on and get a 'new' map out quickly. Here's the result.

A lot of changes have been made to accomodate gameplay, but the original level layout is still intact. This is a small map and becomes extremely crowded with zombies as the match goes on. Narrow doorways and corridors make for some great surprises.

*Update*
Removed the four elevators because the zombies weren't quite smart enough to use them and ended up causing traffic jams. Replaced them with three ladders and a ramp.

A lot of pathnode tweaking. The zombies move through the map very well considering the narrow paths in some areas.

Reworked blocking volumes to keep zombies from getting stuck in strange places.

Once every 2-3 minutes a health stone will spawn. If you hear a loud rumbling then you need to get to the courtyard. It only lasts for 30 seconds.

All feedback is welcome.

Indeed, more maps for The Haunted is welcome! Though I'd prefer a completely original custom map (you said you're working on one so no worries ) this gives some variation for the mod. Thanks!

Edit: I'd like to add the map a preview pic in the menu. What's the codename for ShangriLa instead of "PreviewImageMarkup=<Images:UI_FrontEnd_Art.GameTy pes.DeathMatch>" ?

I'll add a preview pic for the in game menu in the final version. I posted this beta hoping to get feedback on things I might have missed that affect how the map plays(monsters getting stuck, etc). I'm working on another version that fixes a few bugs that my friend and I have noticed.

this is 1 of the most fun map for the haunted mod. it's a ZombieFragFest, you cant even blink for a second. it's feels like your on the edge of your Set the whole time.

not to mention the cool perks

goodwork!
