Nothing will happen, what is with the Im scared stuff....Epic has pushed the idea of people making Halo "mod" maps on the PS3 version... I would expect Bret would get more interest for his work by not limiting what he does. |

*sigh* its not about ethics, *if its already illegal then might as well go through with it* kind of crap. What you people dont get is that Microsoft can and will jump on the band wagon, heres a fun fact... biggest part of microsoft is their legal team. They wouldn't call them riders of the apocolypse for nothing. big cooperations like M$ aren't anything to F with.
To explain what the difference is im gonna try to explain through a random example. Downloading mp3's sure its illegal, does it mean everyone who downloads an mp3 is going to jail. No. Stealing a cops gun while he has it still holstered... While hes facing you, Chances of you going to jail is very high. Along with getting your @ss beat to the ground.(this would be representing microsoft) the internet is really useful, read up on it if you dont believe me. so if i were bret i wouldn't cook it for the ps3, and i only have UT3 for the ps3. So that says a lot, lol. Not worth the trouble it could bring to the map maker, so stop pestering him. Thats the beauty of freedom of will, he can do what ever he pleases(his map, his choice). the thing is, legally MS can do nothing about it. as far as i know he isnt profiting off of it either so even MS' experienced legal team would have trouble.

Come on guys don't ruin his thread with nonsense.
If there is someone else who chooses not to cook a map for the PS3 version are you going to question their motives as well? Leave it be, please. Some of you are making PS3 players look bad. |

Stop scare-mongering! This is a great map and there is NO reason whatsoever why PS3 users shouldn't be able to play it. Remmember kids; .Doesn't use assets or intellectual property owned by MS/Bungie - NOT ILLEGAL. .If it's not illegal on PC, then it's not illegal on PS3 - it doesn't matter that Sony are MS's direct competitor, MS can't do a thing about it. .Stop ****ting yourselves over a map! MS aren't going to send out the lawyers for somthing like this! Could you imagine the bad press? |
