Marcus Fenix has seen a lot of development as a character in the series. The biggest complaint by people is that he is a bland character...some of what is eluding into Gears of War 3 will surely put those people in their place with all the new information we'll be seeing about him. We'll also finally get to see his elusive father who has managed to escape from sight the first couple of games. I do honestly believe that Marcus is one of the most well designed video game characters in history. I look forward to Gears of War 3!
Marcus is a great. He's been my favorite character since his first grunt. Epic did a great job in showing us who he is even though he doesn't say much. He's reliable and gets the job done no matter the odds, he's a great leader and his men trust him, he doesn't complain (much), and he's smart. I also love his sarcastic sense of humor. He is a great character, I don't know how anyone can say he's bland.
