I know that when your character is low on health a crimson omen appears on the screen, but does anything else happen? I kind of like the COD2 thing were everything went blurry and he started to breathe heavy.:D

The closer to death, the more visible the Omen is. Once it's full, you're dead. I saw a picture of the 'death cam' and it tells you that you're dead. I saw blood splatter on the screen. I think that's from curb stomping.

why would they need anything else. i got really annoyed with CoD2 red screen deep breathing and walking slow because you die a few seconds after this and i gears (if they dont chang anything) will warn you when your about to die with out restricting anything

Just becuse it's not in the game doesn't mean it's becuase of technology. It's a matter of wether or not people want it. Personally, I don't. I think it was good for COD2 though. I don't think it would be good for a game like Gow, or Halo.

I don't like that the crimson omen is in the middle of your screen everytime you loose a little health. It will become very disturbing and that is a huge con in my book.

Big fan of the regen system, but not very pleased by having a big red crimson omen covering your aim.

the amount of health u have and how much damage you take will probably determine how visible the omen is. Ex: you stumble over a Locust corpse= omen is practically invisible. Ex2: You are exploded by a rocket= Maximum omen visibility

I actually liked CoD2's health system and am also THRILLED that Gears has ommitted the "health bar" but I gotta admit I would like for the screen to go blurry and some slo-mo aiming to really pound it into your head that you're about to die if you dont do something about it. But it's not like it's a deal breaker for me, just something I think would be nice to have.

after awhile the omen goes away after a little bit but if you get hurt enough it will come back

The only time it will abstruct your view is if your dead, and when you're dead you won't need to look where you're shooting anymore.

The only heavy breathing I have heard is when you roadie run, so if you want men breathing heavy there you go:D

Hey, I prefer the Crimson Omen thing to the near-death setup in Army of Two.

Personally I don't plan on ever having to worry about how much health I have because I'm gonna own at this game. lol. Thats my hope anyway.
