I wonder if its like a ,forced curfew, marshall law, minimal human rights, type place or like a beautiful eutopia/mirror image of the rest of Sera but with structures still intact.

I like that. The juxtaposition of a beautiful, untouched Serran area with militaristic laws and brutal security is interesting to me.

We know for a fact that Serans temporarily suffered from "abridged civil rights" in order to turn Jacinto into an "unassailable fortress." (Destroyed Beauty, p.8)

Question is if we ever get to be in Jacinto's intact interior city(s) really. I don't see us being able to take a stroll down Main Street in the game.

Still would be an interesting thing to check out though. Hey, there's something to put in a possible future novel.

It might be like some kind of temporary USSR thing going on in Jacinto. If you walk down Mainstreet, you might get arrested for "being too happy and not oppresed enough". My dad likes to run our home kinda like that.:D*laughs airily which gradually turns into sobbing*

I would imagine it to be the opposite actually. The planet has been decimated by the Locust, the human race is nearly extinct, I'd imagine they'd want to enjoy what little they have left. Naturally security would be extremely tight, but not oppressive. That's what I think anyways.

I doubt it because this isn't a RPG, but maybe we'll have to defend Jacinto at one point in the game.

thatd be a cool set up but cliffy said that he wanted us to see how good it was and how sad it was to have it destroyed.also, its been in a learning stage of respecting the arts for undreds of years.i dont think that sounds like a government that has martial law.those are my 2 cents. -OD

I'd like to walk around in Jacinto in the game and talk to NPCs that would be fun to do.

yeah that'd be cool. maybe you might have to go there to defend it from a giant invasion or something of that sort

I think it would personally be better to build up to it through the games, a little like the final battle in the Matrix. The humans last and final stand, the fate of humanity is lingering on the actions of one battle hardened squad. Can they save us from death and slavery?
May be so cliched but it would be great! :D
