Perhaps Sera, the planet, is a living world. Perhaps it was tired of the constant wars on the surface of its planet for a resource that it produced naturally, and somehow convinced the Locust to attack the Serans at an attempt to stop the humans war over the imulsion. Ans that the old ladies voice in the trailer is actually the conscience of the planet?

I think my theory could be possible, perhaps Imulsion mutated the planet into a living world and the planet needs it to survive and it sent the Locust tp stop the humans from pumping out the Imulsion.

Thats an interesting theory. It'd be pretty cool to see in a game.

I remember reading some theories that Earth is a living organism that will one day find it's own way to return balance to the planet. This sounds a little like that; Sera is some how sentient and self-concious enough to devise a way to stop the Pendulum Wars to try to return itself to more of a natural, pre-civilized state.

ok i think that when the humans found the powerful enery source Immusion( or something like that lol) they started drilling for it and going further into the planet and eventually awakening the Locust. I'm not sure that either the Locust were sleeping and got woken up, or the Locust were origianlly using Immusion for themselves and when 2 much was taken they got pissed and emerged from the planet. plz reply!

If the world was alive, would the locust be its kids? I mean, their birth could've been e-day

"Kids" in a sort of metaphysical sense, yes. Although the Locusts would have to have been created well before Emergence Day; otherwise, how would they have their armor and weaponry?

It's possible that the Humans of Sera and the Locust are infact, related to each other in a way. They could have evolved from the same organism only with different "mutations" if you will. The Locust were more suited to being underground and so made their homes in the center of the planet. Where as the humans were more adapted to living on the surface and so lived there.

Of course, this would have happened millions of years before Emergence Day. Both species could have been created by Sera and once the Humans started to damage Sera too badly with their drilling for emulsion and the Pendulum Wars, Sera had enough and made it so the Humans released the Locust upon themselves as punishment.

Just a thought.

Hey guys, Im new here. So desperately looking forward to GOW, its all I can think about these days. :p Anyways, did anyone consider that maybe its kinda like a Pitch Black deal with Sera, every couple of decades its orbit leads into an eclipse that lasts a while, during which the Locusts bust out and ravage the planet. However, due to the drilling by the humans, they awoke early.

I love that movie, and that itself isn't a bad idea, but if that was the case, wouldn't we be better prepared for the Locusts? I mean, if they come by every few decades, we'd be used to their tactics and such.

Hah, I say 'we' like I'm actually a Seran. I must be more obsessed with this game than I thought...:p

It might be a couple of of centuries that the locust come up, explaining their tech and the efficiency of the E-day invasion. The wars itself might last for decades though, and the reason we never heard of them is because they were discreet or something. They might have only appeared in certain areas, which were maybe remote. Now they are choosing to wipe us out completely, and take the surface for themselves.

The earlier theory may be partially true. What if the drilling for oil and later imulsion made the locust rise to the surface? Or maybe the locust didn't realize that there was and "above ground" and when drills started to come throuhg they rose up and given their murderous nature, they brought weapons too.

well the locusts also had "digging equipment" as said in some previews/interviews, and im guessing they didnt make them in one day;)

That sidetracks the fact that they use weapons and have a certain knowledge of technology.

If "macro"evolution was a valid theory. Perhaps if they both had a common Bipedal ancestor. Kind of like poodles and German Shepards having common ancestors. Both dogs. Common ancestor. That would be "Micro"evolution.

Sorry, define evolved before you talk around me. PM me if you don't agree or do agree or want more information, I don't want to start an open scientific-getting-into-religion discussion here since its not really something that should be discussed on an open forum. (and moderators don't really like them)
