Queen Bee (so to speak)

Most Hive colonys like the Locusts have a queen bee as there leader, so im just wondering if there will be a Queen Locust that controls and coordinates the attacks, that could also be who is speaking in the trailers (old woman).

If there is a Queen Bee/Locust controlling everything will she be the boss of the game, casue if you take out the queen the hive normally follows.

A few people have mentioned that because the Berzerker (a female) is larger/ more dominant than the drones (males), that the locust could be a matriarchal society. If this theory is correct, then there's every chance that there is a "Queen Bee" for the locust horde.

i dont think it works like that beacouse in some trailers she just goes flat out and trys killing evrything that would be stupid to risk your queen like that. ecspecialy since we know that beserker will probably be in the middle of the game.

If there was a Queen, it would just be a dominant locust, not a special character, although there is a locust general, Genral Raam.

See, now that's interesting, if they have a General, how far up the ladder does the hierarchy go? Is there an Emperor or Empress Locust that we havent seen yet? This raises some interesting possibilities.

They don't really seem to have a 'hive mind' behavior. Generals and officers give orders and the drones carry them out to your doorstep, demanding change for a dollar. Dammit, one's here now...let me just get that chainsaw...there, Serean Locust pizza, made in the warm core of the planet. Anyway, it's probably some evil marketing strategy by Little Ceasers or somethin like that.

Good theory though, but I just like pizza better.

Maybe you could think of the General as like General Greivous from Star Wars. He's got a few superiors, but he's pretty much got free reign on war tactics and such.

If anyone here is a fan of the Alien[I[/I] series, I think the loucst horde is a lot like them. The aliens are much more primitive, but the loucst horde uses technology. Also, a queen is a posibility.

I view them kind of like a brutish, primitive Covenant. We don't know much about the Kryll or officers, nor anything of the general(s). Drones/wretches are the warrior cast, berserkers are the heavy hitters (think Hunters of the Covenant), and the Brumaks/Corpsers are they're substitute to the COG's vehicles. However, the Locust Horde is possibly only an instument in some greater evil. A queen can be likely possible, but they don't seem to have a 'hive' behavior in my mind. The 'old ladies' voice may be someone who seeks to use Imulsion to their own needs. Think of it. What else can Imulsion do? A seemingly useless source can be turned into an infinate, powerful energy source. What if Imulsion can be turned into a weapon? What if near the end of the Pendulum Wars, someone realizes this, knows of the Locust Horde, and exploits this to obtain what they seek?

The Locust are so similar to Seran's. Two feet, two limbs, a head, body, how they move, and everything like that, is all similar. Now, we don't have a queen, just two parents. I'd think that locust have a queen.

And the enemies (the huge ones) are said to be creations of the Locust themselves, and not actual made by, uhh... concieving.

I don't know exactly if there will be a "Queen Bee" so to speak, but I am sure there is someone who coordinates the attacks of certain squads. Like someone said, there is probably a hierachy of sorts. This is how I see it:

Drones>Drone Squad Commander>Beserkers>Commander of Squads in Certain Areas>General(Possibly)>Head Locust(?)

There are probably Squad Commanders, but you can't really tell them from the rest of the squad, then Beserkers, then there are probably a Locust or someone who controls all of the squads in a certain areas, Locust General, then Head Locust........

I dunno, I just kill them all. :)

Fox News Update: The person believed to be flashing outside the mall in the city's SE side, has told Police he is 'just waiting for Emergence Day'. The man is apparently harmless, and is camping outside the Gamestop video store. When questioned the man said he will do whatever it takes. This diehard fan has been outside for five days now, and shows no signs of letting up. The local Walmart has donated a one man tent for obvious reasons. Traffic has been a bit conjested in front of that part of the mall, but police say vehicles and shoppers are just slowing down to take a look. We will keep you posted on any new events.

Panicking he falls backwards, thrashing his legs, not wanting to get any closer. A tall metal light pole falls into the opening, with the glass globe exploding on the way down. 'Ok, this is not happening.' cakemonkey trying to reassure himself. There is a noise, a mechanical one, coming from below. It is very loud, loud enough to cover his ears. Tons of dust and haze. xo6 was cool and I enjoyed the demo stuff, cant wait for the next egm, I had to say that i am a little confused because every time I see the game it looks different, mostly the lighting to show the detail which is a good thing I guess, im still out hear in front of gamestop waiting for a copy signed by cliffy and the tin box is shoe polished and all sparkly, 1 month you peoples, and I will ice u mothas all day and u will hate me, and if my 360 breaks because i got it before january, i will be pissed, i hope the power of this game doesnt finnaly destroy my 360 because this game looks amazing, all the time I have, see yall!

my theory is that the older lady in the videos and cut-scenes would be narrator, because she really doesn't pick a side. And if she was a locust she would speak in the locust language but instead she speaks human.

there is a queen bee. u see her at the end of the game. she talks through cutscenes. u can also tell there is by the multiplayer. on multiplayer if u lose when u on locust or something she replies. but yeah listen careful on cutscenes it tells u all.
