I play Battlefield 3 often and think its excellent players have the option available to them to rent their own server. Its so easy to do just redeem Microsoft points. I play lot of private games with friends and competitively do scrims. But i lag lot because i play with people not living my country and my connection aint that great. Having a server of my own to use for games would be fantastic. It works people on Battlefield avail of this option all the time. I think this be great if it was an option was made available for Gears 3, but please if that can't be done do consider it for Judgement? The majority of folks have terrible broadband a server would make the gears experience more enjoyable for lot of people.

I think the idea was dumb. All I get is the average player renting a server and making idiotic rules. Like no spawn trapping, no using weapon A, "because I always got spawn trapped and died to the USAS."

EDIT: Not to mention that MS owns the servers.

I believe that EA rent their own servers out.

I only have battlefield two weeks and it has been an enjoyable experience so far. Every player has their own rules and regulations thats their choice they are paying for the server. But i have never yet been kicked from a game i joined, if your being a noob, you obviously will be booted.

The server option is great for private games. I'm sick of lagging badly in some games i join i gladly rent my own server for the cost of a game for a year.

MS owns the servers that Epic pays for.

Also I'm against the idea of people banning X weapon because they don't like it. You have private if you want to mess around with your friends using only the same weapon.

Epic wont do this, thats what private is for to have friends to join without crazy competition than Rank or QM! I just seen some vids and storys for Admins an rules for online MP. Thats so rediculus for getting kicked for specific rules, where I saw an Admin just bombing there plane from there spawn over an over! Stupid, I know in my heart EPIC wont do this!

Well Epic could work out some deal with them could they not? Battlefield rented servers you pay with money or Microsoft points ( Microsoft i am sure would be happy with the second option of payment.

Actually i think Epic would still have to own their own servers to avoid consumer complaints.

But the server renting option will help those who suffer lag /joining a hosted game in another country. Currently when i join a game in another country and play and his host is bad and my connection is not good either. I lag terribly. Having a server to host competitive matches and mess around scrims will make the whole experience more enjoyable for everyone joining. I've hard lot of people about bad the connection is when they played privately., so i know for a fact lot of people would rent a server for their own use.

You could have three options.
Join a rented server game- People owned
join quick match-Epic paying for
Join ranked match-Epic paying for

I doubt there be issues if this was put in.

Good Luck witha that happening!!! I would not be playing option A. That sounds like ahorrible Idea in my opinion. The two servers in the US are not that great, but I would rather play on those servers then some joe blow making his own matches and weapon selections. That is what private matches was intended for. I hope EPIC does not go with that option!!!
