Community Ideas Thread
I thought of this idea a while ago...but thought now would be a good time to make it...as the GoW:J forum is now up
Objective:
This thread can be used to list ideas that we the community have for GoW:J that we think may have not been thought of
-ex: Have you considered trying the 'Class System' in Horde?
Rules:
-No Flaming
-Don't just complain
--if you have a problem with something, suggest and idea of what you want to see.
Guidlines:
-If you have a detailed description of a gametype/medal (or a really long idea) I'll link it in the OP
I'm not sure how well this thread will be accepted...so lets see :p

Changes
VS:
• Allow for more options in Private Matches by allowing us to scroll through option (because there isn't enough room on-screen)
• Make characters more talkative online.
• Allow of custom map cycling in Private Matches (GoW1 style)
• Make spawn protection turn off after a bullet is fired
• Make spawn protection different durrations on different maps (ex: Raven Down should be much less than Academy)
• Reduce rifle damage (but have a headshot multiplier for all rifles)
• Reduce Gnasher damage (and reduce active boost)
• Reduce Bullet Magnetism
• Remove the increased accuracy of weapons when aiming...blind-fire should be just as accurate
• Remove most of the stunning
• Make shoot out of run/roll return
• Add the ability to talk between rounds (GoW 1 style)
• Some want to remove Quick Match?
• Allow parties of large than 5 in Ranked Mathces?
• Keep a list of 'score-cards' (post game stats) and make them more in-depth
Horde/Beast:
• Allow for more option in these modes (enemy type, weapon spawns, ect)

• Change the Command centers to be user operated - like the HOD in RAAM's Shadow (sniper = select targets) (mortar = select area) (HOD = RAAM's Shadow style)
• Add a day/night cycle
• Add seeders as Horde Bosses
• Have a new system for including bosses (see description - HERE (http://forums.epicgames.com/threads/914010-Judgment-Community-Ideas-Thread?p=30627648&viewfull=1#post30627648))
• Make all rifles and shotguns more equally balanced for Horde (adjust settings for Horde only)
• Allow active reloading ability to turrets
• Make enemies come in by jumping off Reevers or coming from E-Holes (instead of inst-appearing)
Campaign:
• Arcade should reset weapons after each chapter
• There should be a 'cut-scene' viewer to re-watch cut-scenes
• Allow for environmental kills (like Bulletstorm, but less exaggerated)
--also more environmental effects (like flood, trenches, ect.)
• Bring back the 'horror' of GoW1 (with the soundtrack and grim/darkness)
• Bring back moving cover (like the Cars in GoW1) - possibly also use this in MP
• No 'Rail' scenes. (like submarine) if we need to go somewhere, either cut-scene it, or let us drive (GoW1 or GoW2 style)
• Have some people from the extended GoW universe make cameos (or at least be mentioned.
• The CoG is much better off than in GoW1, we would like to see some of their technology (that was destroyed and not in GoW1-3)
• Have more 'giant monsters' (like Brumaks)...Many infantry sized things are added, but we aren't seeing any large mosters
Mechanics:
• Consistent Hit Boxes
• Remove/Alter the Mantle Kick
• Allow an active Longshot shot to go through multiple people (or maybe just multiple heads)
• Active Longshot shot should make people 'stumble' (same animation as if hit by a melee)
• Active Longshot can have a spotter ability...hitting an enemy will spot them (that last longer than a regular spot)
• Remove the bloom on the Longshot while aiming (keep it for blind/hipfire, but remove it when aiming)

• Increase the Digger damage or speed (or maybe just increase active damage/speed)
• Allow the ability to switch shoulder (left/right)
• Remove the camera shake from smoke grenades
Aesthetics:
• Bring back Tac-Com bubbles (or some method of knowing who has which weapon)

• Allow DLC Skins to carry over from GoW3 to GoW:J
• Remove/lessen the 'glow' of the lights on the armor
• Allow for ribbons/medals/ other extras to not pop up while playing (but keep the HUD)
• Return to a more classic soundtrack (GoW1 or GoW2 style)
• Allow ribbons/medals to be earned in solo Horde/Beast (like founder, double, triple, ect)
Additions:
War Journal Ideas:
• A ribbon and Medal for Chainsaw duels should be added
• A medal for XXX chainsaw kills should be added
• A headshot with a boomshot ribbon (Boom Headshot!)

• Reduce the time required for many medals, and make them only available in online matches

• Add a stat for Accuracy
• Seriously 4.0 Medal should say: "...And don't call me Shirley."
• Ribbon for killing someone with a headshot while they are sliding to cover
• Ribbon for kill on someone who is switching weapons
• Post game stats should show assists and how many times you killed each person

Mutator Ideas:
• The infinite ammo mutator should allow infinite ammo for all weapons
• "Betrayal" (Fun) - Play as any Locust multiplayer character in Horde
• "Boss" (Hard) - Every wave will have a boss in it, the waves are otherwise unchanged
• "Execution Rules" (Hard ) Enemies that can be downed (Drones, Grenadiers, Therons, ect.) will have to be either executed or one shot killed
New Executions:
• Meatshild (replace neck snap) - take pistol from victim, put it in their mouth, and pull the trigger

One thing I'd like to see is in Private games, the option to select what maps you want to play on-- Remember Gears 1 private games? You could add/ remove maps from the pay list, I'd like to see that return :)

Yeah, I don't remember the technical term, I just remember it was possible in Gears 1. You choose the maps you like, and take out the ones you don't lol Custom map cycling works. :D

My ideas.
1.Make a beta.I like getting exclusive items to bring on in the retail game.
2.Less pre-order bonuses.How about only 2 or 3?
3.Make more dlc.Don't leave Gears of War judgment on it's own after only 4 dlcs.

Yea, I liked that about Gears 1 Tac-Com.
How about Mutators available in private games? I know it's a bit far fetched but it's an idea, or choosing what weapon we spawn with-- Custom game settings.

Remove the mantle kick.
Executions:
My friend had this awesome idea for a meatshield execution. Currently we have the neck snap. My friend thought it would be cool if we pulled the pistol out of the meatshield's holster, put it against the roof of the meatshield's mouth and blow its brains out.
I'd also like to see fast executions come back like they had in GoW2. I loved golf clubbing people while sliding by.

I just love the idea of the respective final bosses being unlocked for their game's insane achievement.
How about
Executions:
• Kill meatshield with its own pistol by placing it in their mouth and shooting them.
• GoW2 fast executions.
Would also love to see a Trinity of Worms medal for having all three Seriously achievements.

Ya, I had this idea a long time ago...I wish they would do it.
My idea was: (replaces the current left/right to change between lives)
Up: shot gun skin
Down: rifle skin
Left: change shotgun
Right: change rifle

Palace Guard, Cyclops and Bolter should definitely be included.
I'd like to see Old Guard return as well as an equivalent for Gears of War 3.
Old Guard; Member of the Old Guard: have Veteran Gear from Gears of War 2.
Infected; Pandemic Survivor: have Again! from Gears of War 3.

I like all of the ideas exspect two, characters more talkative online because while the character is talking you could be flanking and it can give your flanking away. Also why not mantle kick? Everthing else I strongly agree on everything inlcuding the exclusives that don't require purchases. Great ideas

These aren't all my ideas.
....while many of them are (thread is fairly new), they are a collaboration of community ideas
As for the ones you don't like...I agree actually.
--but I'm just putting in all ideas.

Mantle Kick removal because (1) It's extremely laggy and glitchy (2) Connection wins it over skill (3) I miss the old cover fights.

Mantle kick shouldn't be removed because it was a good concept, but just like the evade hitbox, they messed up big time.
Disagree on tac-com bubbles, the coloured weapons on tac-com would be better. I love the current tac-com, you can see what is happening on the other side of the map.

I didn't disagree with anything in particular that was important.
I don't think anyone likes the current mantle kick, unless they never lag or pump fake. In that case: "You lucky..."
It needs fixing, great idea, bad implementation.
Coloured weapons are a better idea then bubbles in my opinion. I really liked that idea, not enough feedback on his thread though.

I don't think they should add characters from the first trilogy. I think that only canon characters should be present. Better than having Dom and Marcus running around on GoWJ.
I am pretty sure there will be plenty of characters and hopefully Prescott will be one of them.

I am pretty sure there will be plenty of characters and hopefully Prescott will be one of them.

You know...I was just thinking.
There is nothing they can do with Hit-Boxes to please people.
There are 2 option, they both solve an issue, and they both cause a problem.
Option 1:
Pro: Have the exact same hitbox for everyone
Con: Details of characters (like theron shoulders) wont register hits even if it is a clear hit
Option 2:
Pro: Have similar hitboxes for everyone, but allow details (like theron shoulders) to register hits
Con: Hitboxes aren't exactly the same
It is a lose-lose for them...

If you have equal hit boxes for everyone, then like I said, people would complain about the fact that hitboxes don't match the character.
--It would make people mad if they shot the theron but weren't given a hit

Give everyone anya (cog) and savage kantus (locust) hitboxes so its equal, would look weird on huge theron but equal
If you have equal hit boxes for everyone, then like I said, people would complain about the fact that hitboxes don't match the character.

Agreed. A better option would be to make them take slightly more damage. A simple 5% can be pretty significant. Example Gnasher base damage is 500 -> 5% more would be 525 or a AR'd Gnasher would be 600 to 630

I agree with removing the mantle kick. i would like to see some kind of true skill/ elo ranking system for ranked matches.
also decreasing the power of almost all the weapons to encourage less camping.
2 booms instead of 3.
smaller lancer clip.
keep sniper single shot for mp.

They should create a playlist that has all the different, and some new, weekend events from Gears of War 3, and call it "Grab Bag" (or something else). You can go into the playlist at any time and it will throw you into a game like quick match does, and you have to play whatever the game type is that the game loads. I don't know what the Points:XP ratio would be, though, because some people may see it as a non-XP worthy playlist. Thoughts?

Another thing is the spawn protection. they shouldnt be able to go half way across the map with it on or shoot you when you cant do anything to them.
once they leave a certain area or shoot a gun it should go away

Rather than eliminating the hitboxes I would suggest a compromise. For the larger characters offer them a stronger melee, it would still be two melee, with most weapons and 3 with a Pistol, but the damage dealt would be greater. I.E If a melee does 300 damage for Marcus, make it deal 350 damage for a Theron and 250 for a female or smaller character.
What do you think?

I would like to see something borrowed from Bulletstorm to enhance Arcade. Introduce environmental kills to campaign (or just the Arcade version if you want to keep things pure for the standard campaign) and allow different points to be awarded based on how you dispose of a Locust. That way you can compete against friends to see who can get the highest possible score in each chapter. This is something that kinda already exists but I'd like to see Epic and People Can Fly blow things out and make it bigger and better. More mutators, too - crazy, out there stuff.

If Epic/PCF are doing a game that is trying to harken back to Gears 1 I hope they enlist Kevin Riepl to do the soundtrack. I want to hear the classic Gears 1 theme (amazed it never showed up in 2 and 3, it's the signature music of the series IMO) and hopefully the other classic battle tunes again. Plus, the slower more horror-ish themes like in Gears 1 Act 2 would be welcome and fit the grim situations Kilo Squad will undoubtedly find itself in.
Here's hoping.

I enjoy Horde so much that I play it more than I ever do straight up MP. However, sometimes the idea of playing 50 waves is a bit daunting and often I've had about enough after 20 or 30 waves (especially if I'm playing with random people). But what if there was a quick Horde? Maybe set the match at 10 or 20 waves but make the difficulty ramp much steeper. For me, gunning for 50 waves is something you'd be more likely to do privately with friends - so why not shorten things for public? You'd get less people dropping out and more matches would be completed.

The following I would like to see in the campaign
- the original hammerburst
- bring back the car from gears 1 as moving cover based objects like this made gears 1 feel more realistic
- troikas set up in the cities
- the kryll
- seeders, berserkers, nemacysts etc
- hammer of dawn (a gun that hardly featured in gears 2 + 3)
- the horror (gears 1 had that horrible gritty feel too it that the other games lacked a planet under invasion and on the threat of extinction needs that experience again for me gears 2 + 3 lacked that)
- deaths (we need to see more humans being mutilated and dismembered)
- no vehicles or driving scenes (every game has a chapter where u need to drive to the next location, all action on foot)
- therons (a menacing intelligent enemy that hardly ever featured in gears 2+3)
- Hoffman (a must, legend!!!)

My idea is to have a toggable filter that adjusts the atmosphere of the game to reflect Gears 1. I got the idea from a thread on the main page where users complained about the graphics being too cartoony. I'd like a toggle that changes the lighting/saturation/whatever to reflect more of the classic Gears 1 style. I'm not just talking brightness, I'm talking everything.
I haven't read through the entire thread so I'm not sure if this was already suggested.

Building on the Horde idea, it should be updated to GoWJ standards.
We should have Quick (Social) Horde and Ranked Horde. Ranked Horde should be Hardcore by default and have a regressing XP penalty for D/Cing (e.g. -6000 xp for 1-10; -5000 xp for 11-20; -4000 xp for 21-30; -3000 xp for 31-40 and -2000 xp for 41-50).
I also want the Boomshield to be unkickable like the GoW2 ones so that they can be salvaged as fortifications.
Regarding fortifications:
They should lock when upgraded. If you upgrade spikes to razor wire, that upgrade should be permanent even if that fortification gets destroyed. Money gets wasted if things can't be repaired in time.
Also, current fortification alterations:
Wire: Laser Wire and Red Laser Wire should get substantial health boosts and only deactivate if Berserkers are passing through. It's annoying when enemies flood you when a teammate is passing by. These are the bread and butter fortifications and right now nobody is building them because they only last a very short time.
Turret: The Retro and Lancer turrets don't exist anymore, so they should be removed for canon. Just cut out the lower tiers and continue building on the Troika idea. Maybe have the higher level troikas start having sandbags/walls around them to make the gunner less vulnerable.
Decoy: Onyx Guard needs to be a lot smarter and be able to use more weapons.
Sentry: Need health boosts.
Command Center: should take two team mates to activate. In the canon, they took several people's permission to fire anyway.
Silverback: Needs to break quicker. It's really overpowered right now.

I LOVE the Zeta Lancer they tried out. However it was too much.
The Gears 1 Lancer did basically 22.5 damage (it randomly selected 21-24 damage) however it's rate of fire was 850 rounds a minute (if it had a infinite clip), 20% AR bonus and no HS multiplier (if I recall right)
In Gears 3 they buffed the damage to 55 and dropped the RoF to 550, gave it a 30% AR bonus and gave it a 1.5x HS multiplier. Meaning if you got a AR + headshot - it went from 55 to 107.25 damage. A 11 shot down to 6.
I think the Lancer given reduced SP, reduced HS multiplier (1.1 perhaps, 50% is insane) but rate of fire increase to be something like 700 would be amazing.
Hammerburst - they've done so much to get this gun balanced. I find it perfect as it is without AR. However they made getting the AR useless. What I would like to see is give it back the 20% damage buff. HOWEVER with this comes double recoil. Basically make it like the GoW2 HB with AR when you AR the GoW3 version of the HB. Make AR smaller to hit so it's more optional.
HB really needs a recoil increase on the non-ironsights hardaim though. It's none basically when you do that. Iron sights recoil imo is fine. So increase the recoil on non-ironsight hardaiming. Give it a 1.05 HS multiplier. VERY minor. However if you hit every shot to the head - it becomes 1 shot less to down them. Rewards accurate players.
Retro - honestly just give it fall off damage again. TU2 it was pretty much perfect. Reduce SP however.
Sawed-Off - one thing I would like to see is make it have 2 fire methods. Holding trigger = both barrels fired. A quick tap will fire one barrel and then another tap will fire the next. The shot itself would be exactly like a Gnasher in spread - however it will have less range and have its base damage be 400 and not 500. Works because base damage of the SO is 800. This would make the SO a viable weapon again.
So instead of spawning with 3 shots - it will display 6. However firing both barrels counts as 2 shots fired. Reduce the range of melee attack and the AR bonus will only allow for you to fire off 2 individual shots off quicker with minor damage increase (5% instead of 20%).
Gnasher - make the medium and long range damage mods 10% and 0% from the 20/10% they are now. There's zero reason you should be able to down a player 20ft away with a shotgun. Should it be possible? Yes. Presently you can down them in 5[AR]/6 shots as it's dealing 100/120[AR] damage. Making it 10% would still make it possible - however you cannot do it in your clip size as it would take 12 shots. However if they took a heavy shot from you and are running away - the ability to still down them is there. This would also still allow you to kill downs at a range. This just reduces its strengths at absurd ranges.

It would be nice to see some of the extended universe characters from that time period in the game, either having cameos in the campaign, or just in playable in mp.

In short, it's an idea for Horde 3.0. It's centered around the idea that any fortification you build can and will be used against you if the locust are able to steal it from you. Silverback, Turrets, Special Weapons Crates, Command Centers....

I fully support bringing back the dark, menacing soundtrack of Gears 1 and the gritty atmosphere and make the campaign less repitive, interactive cut scenes, QTE's, driving levels and more gibbing options. I'm sick of the same gibs from GoW1 to GoW3

He's not in the Slab, Baz was Pad's spotter and best friend, he died a little while after E-day and his death greatly affected Pad. Pad even named his JACK bot after him. Baz has only appeared in Aspho Fields, Jacinto's Remnant(referenced) and the comic Unseen.

This needs to be added...
Revamp Ranked. More stats maybe? A true skill ranking system you can only work on in playing ranked (along side leveling which you upgrade in all modes)? Quicker response from initial menus reducing waiting times at the start? Just make Ranked better and more engaging to play.
Anyone who hates versin bots surely will like this idea.

Assuming the "normal" (ie not overrun) multiplayer is the same as gears 3, give us cross-game matchmaking. People on gears 3 and Judgement can play with/against each other and all stats, characters and weapon skins (unlocked in either game) carry over.

They've said it will have it's own MP.
What you are referring to is a Halo 3/ Halo: ODST style MP.

The COG is far stronger at this point of the story than in Gears 2. One of the best parts of 2 I felt was the war machine cranking up with the Derricks and Centaur convoys fighting off Locust swarms and Brumaks. Judgement has the opportunity here to do something similar, perhaps on an even grander scale as that was where G2's "bigger, better, more badass" theme was shown in the best light. We could even see some different tanks and other machines given the time period.

I want there to be 1 or 2 spots where the CoG have that awesome heavy assault; as you said...this is early, so they haven't lost anything yet.

A combination of Over run and a survival game type would be fun. Like when you start you're in a map like Mansion but way bigger. After 3 waves, a new area unlocks and so does a few new enemies. Also, weapons cannot be picked up off of dead enemies. Ammo and new weapons have to be bought from cases. After each 5 waves the enemies from the previous waves get a little stronger I'll plan it out.
Wave 1 - 3
(Area: Gardens.)
(Enemies: Wretches, Wild Tickers, Drones.)
(Weapons: Lancer and Snub.)
Wave 4 - 7
(Area: Gardens, Staircases, Front Yard.)
(Enemies: Wretches, Wild and Explosive Tickers, Drones, Bolters, Butchers.)

Wave 23 - 28
Everything as above but now enemies stop getting stronger, waves now start to get larger. More enemies on screen instead of about 10 - 15, now 20 - 25.
Wave 29
Everything as above. A secret elevator appears in basement which can lead to every main area of the map. Wretches barrage through elevator to prevent camping. Elevator destination can only set for a few seconds before it randomly drops off somewhere.
Wave 30 -35
Everything as above COG soldiers begin to spawn and attack from Ravens with Longshots and Lancers. Weapon crates now start get more expensive by a few hundred every 3 waves.
Wave 36 - 40
Everything as above, now HOD strikes begin to randomly strike down.
Wave 41 - 45
Everything as above, Nemacysts now start flying inside the Mansion.
Wave 46 - 50
Everything as above, Low tier Locusts stop spawning, replaced with Onyx Guards with Incendiary bullets and grenades.
Wave 51 +
Everything as above, Now all weapon crates are gone and Onyx Guards start to drop random bits of ammo for random weapons. That's all from here. Last until everyone is dead.
The Rules
- Each player starts with the same load out, unlike Overrun
- Areas aren't opened at players request. They're opened at the waves they're set too. Enemies will spawn from behind players even if they haven't moved back yet.
- Weaker Locusts give less points for killing. Executions give more points.
- No perks or anything like that. No bonus rounds which offer more points or weapons. No abilities like infinite ammo and no damage. No mutations unless set event.
- If a player has died, he/she can come back next wave with half of their ammo, half of their points and at the closest main area to the team.
- Team work is an essential, new areas might need two people to bash down or lift something out of the way.
- Points can be shared but a set amount. Each wave, 100 points can be shared for each player. The limit builds up over waves. 10 waves without sharing = 1000 total points to be shared. If you share 500 of your points, you can only share 500 more until next wave which the limit is lifted to 600.
- Players can't self revive unless you are far from your team mates or last left.
- Each wave, every player gets two reloads of each weapon for ammo.
- Player with the lowest points is named "The Slacker" and gets a little damage boost. This only happens for a minute and can only happen to each player once each 10 waves.
- Two difficulties, Normal and Hardcore. Normal the enemies only spawn in the main last area you're in and do less damage. Hardcore is the opposite.
- There is no wave limit. It keeps on going. If a certain wave is achieved impossibly quickly or not at an average speed (Wave 10 - 20 achieved in 5 minutes), all players guns shoot flowers and do no damage. Baird and Cole will comment like saying 'WTF is this crap?" and when everyone dies, a cut scene of cartoon Locust are dancing in a cartoon graveyard over the players graves with their gamer tag embedded into the grave.
To make each wave not seem repetitive, the players hear audio of the Chairman or whatever saying how these soldiers have disobeyed orders and commenting on their progress.
Example: Wave 10 - 15 'These slappywags are still going? They've survived ongoing waves of these bastards and they're still alive? If they continue, send the Guards.'
If a player dies, He also comments saying how they died like dogs and they're a disgrace.
To prevent camping in the Basement, a secret, randomized code is required for entry which is randomized each time. Using a 4 letter combo with A, B, X and Y. Digits found in random locations like a red B hidden in a bathtab, X appears in a light when shot and the glass forms an glowing X, a Y flashing on a television and an A found when cover is destroyed. All the letters burn into the Tac Com when activated and appears in their order and each location for the digits are shuffled each time so neither A, B, X or Y can be found in the same spot another digit from a previous code was. And also, destroying cover and lights are probably going to make things harder so if players really want to get in the basement, they're making big risks.
Alot of information but I've been gathering this idea up for a very long time. Probably too far fetched to be introduced into the game but it'd be fun. And obviously, telling by the Chairman's or that leader dudes comments, this game type isn't meant to be cannon. It could just be a what-if scenario like Kilo never survived their capture or something.

I haven't seen many console games do this, but have a section where you fill out a survey where they can poll the community directly? Because a lot of the population that plays GoW doesn't actually go on the forums or interact with the community. If you access the community directly in the game I think that would be genius and directly ask the community what weekend event they want, what maps they play the most, what weapons they think need to be tweaked. An in-game way to poll the community would be great.

I've got a few things that i'd like to suggest:
In the campaign when joining a multiplayer game let us choose what weapons we want to start with. I'm not talking about giving us a boomshot right out the gate but let us choose the starting weapons. There was nothing that irritated me more than joining a game ending up with with the longshot and a SOS just because I was player 3.
If they bring back a medal like the war supporter medal they should let us earn the event ribbons more than once. I know they changed it so you couldn't because of the glitch early on where you could onyx it in a day but this method was suggested in another thread which could stop that happening:
my suggestion for what they do, is not have a set list for the ribbons to go through, and not have the game remember which event ribbons you have (of course important ribbons like golden week should still be remembered). instead, to make it work, only have the game remember the last event ribbon you earned. this way, it wont give you the same one for the week, over and over. when a new event takes place, and you earn the ribbon, it forgets the other ribbon and remembers the latest one. which events you have played in isnt important, just the number of events you play in. so this number can increase with every new ribbon gets remembered, and it can go on indefinately.
it would be difficult to implement this now, but its the only way i can see the event thing being resolved
This way you would get credit for playing in each event. Alternatively, if this isn't feasible actually show us the event ribbons that we've earned so far and maybe have a message in the main menu (or event calender if that is brought back) telling us what this weeks event ribbon is.
Allow some ribbons to be earned solo. I personally only like to either play by myself or with people I know so I rarely play public horde or pubic beast and because of that I would be unable to earn ribbons like 'Phat Loot', 'Long Hauler' or 'For the Heavies' unless I plug in a second controller to idle or convince one of my friends to play that game mode.
Allow people to choose or at least vote on the difficulty of games like public horde and public beast. As it is, the 'I'm a Beast' medal in gears 3 is impossible (or at least extremely difficult) to onyx unless you can get a team of people in a private game as you have no control over the difficulty setting in public beast and because of the 'without failing' clause in the medal description you can't do it solo (at least I haven't heard of anyone doing so).
If Mutators are brought back don't let the 'Fun' mutators take up a slot. Only the ones that give a multiplier change (The hard and easy ones) should take up a space
Make the respawn timer more consistent. I can't say I know what determines the time but I find waiting 15 seconds to respawn really annoying especially in objective gametypes like KOTH or CTL where every second counts. I don't know why it varies from what seems like an instant respawn to the full 15 seconds but I can't really see why we couldn't have just a set respawn time.

Just make it go through the enemy in general. Give it a very minimal damage buff with it though (5%).
That would be a awesome AR bonus.

I was actually wondering if either of these would be in GoW:J
I had the idea a long time ago, and put it in the one of the Q/A threads.
-They said they really liked the idea, but it wasn't possible with the current GoW3 settings...
...but to keep suggesting stuff, because things can change in the future
I'm hoping this gets in there (either one would be nice)

Oh yes, you don't want to overdo something like that, we don't even know if the campaign will be very long yet either, but a couple of instances of those kinds of battles would be really welcome.
Changing subject, all this Judgement talk has got me playing Gears 1 again, and I noticed something in the campaign that I don't see referenced much but feel it would add to the menacing air of the Locust. What I am talking about is when you are on the move in the streets you can often hear these tremors and rumblings from below the ground, which is obviously Locust activities at hand. This makes the atmosphere quite forboding I think, and I have noticed this wasn't really present at all in Gears 2 and 3. I believe this should be added back into Judgement since it is harkening back so much and because it just adds so much to the mood..

Can't remember what FPS I've played with this kind of game mode but it works out pretty well. It actually might work out well for Gears.

Personally i like Baz a lot and i wish he was in more of the novels and comics, i would really like to know how he died because its referenced quit a bit.

The "skill ceiling" in a game is a conceptual limit to how much skill contributes to performance. Having a higher skill ceiling means there's more room for skill to develop and impact how well you play.

Arguably it's a poor business model anyway as it reduces the likelihood of repeat or extended purchase. They'll generate a large revenue initially, but the life cycle would be very short and lack fecundity. The effectiveness of extension strategies via DLC is also reduced if the hardcore fans aren't buying. It's unlikely that the newcomers making a one-off purchase will buy in to DLC and accessories.
Then again, I don't know EPIC's sales figures so I can't comment.
From what I know, the overall revenue has increased from title to title, but given that the gaming population has also increased substantially leaves me skeptical.

If you're referring to COD, it's a very mass market game. They can afford to lose repeat purchase because people are buying the series in droves. Even people who hate COD buy COD just because it's COD. Sad, but true in my experience.
Gears operates in a much smaller sub-segment of the market. EPIC doesn't have the luxury that COD has. Most people won't give Gears a go; I've tried to convince many of my friends to play, but to no avail. The style which is so alluring to some repels others.
That's not to say that niche markets are bad though. EPIC benefits from price inelasticity (presumably), so they can afford premium pricing and also benefit near-guaranteed DLC sales in their segment.
Gears is better off working in a niche market anyway. They tend to be a lot more resilient than mass markets in the long run and have a very stable cash flow.

Gears 1 didn't have it at all, and Gears 2 only had it if you were the host (and that was a bug, every other player had no assistance whatsoever).

You are segmenting the market into gaming genres. Gaming on its own is a market. And more so now than before. Gears doesn't benefit from price in-elasticity at all. The pricing in the gaming market is more of a contestable market sort of thing. Also we are getting of on a tangent and before this thread gets closed I will stop.

A few ideas my friends and I had in a chat last night...
Endless Horde
Regular Horde, but it doesn't end at wave 50 (and the enemy damage/accuracy/health keep going up every 10 waves)
Endless Beast
Beast that goes on forever (until you fail)
-Plays until wave 12 (with the onyx guards)
--after that, 2 onyx guards are added each round
--after wave 25, added time for killing enemies decreases (and again at 45, 65, 85, ect)
--after wave 35, added time for destroying barriers decreases (and again at 55, 75, 95, ect)
Maybe the game ends after 3 failed waves?

One thing that I have always wanted, that may seem a little ridiculous, is the way in Gears 1 that when you fired your weapon the bullets went into the center of the screen. I played Gears 1 for 5 years until Gears 3 came out and I still have difficulty blind-firing things. Could still make the bullets look like they visually come out of the barrel, just by twisting the way the character holds the gun etc. Also, maybe remove the whole "air-bouncing" mechanic. With all the armor the COG/Locust wear I think stopping in a mid-slide to a wall would be a little hard to do. Could make wall-bouncing a little faster than roadie-running to balance.

Option for the player to disable weapon skins, medals and ribbons (so he/she can't see them or anyone using them in any gametype). This setting could be in:
Options--Game--Disable Weapon Skins--Disable Medals and Ribbons
EDIT (no need for more posts really)
First off, remove all active reload buff's except for speed (may of been in OP, don't remember seeing it) :eek:
Secondly, S4.0 should go on kills, ribbons and medals. So perhaps earn 10,000 kills (online only) earn 25 Onyx Medals and 1 of each ribbon. Mix things up :D

With the introduction of quick throw grenades and power ups in the form of grenades, I think I've come up with a weapon that would add a fresh twist to combat. I've noticed that Gears maps were getting bigger and bigger and rifles were pretty much paralyzing you with stopping power, so I figured it was time Gears added a new method of movement that gave you the ability to perform wall bouncing without walls in order to thrive in huge open spaces and test the skill of rifleman. The wall bouncing without cover animation would be in the form of a knee slide (I describe it in more detail in this thread (http://forums.epicgames.com/threads/911372-What-would-you-like-to-see-in-the-next-Gears-multiplayer?p=30448471&viewfull=1#post30448471)), but if implementing this new method of movement isn't feasible, a similar way to accomplish this is through one of those power up grenades.
If you've watched the movie Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, you may recall that epic scene where Qui-Gon Jinn battled Darth Maul while Obi-Wan Kenobi was eagerly waiting for the row of impenetrable laser walls to let him pass and join the fight. Well the weapon I'm about to describe is similar to those impenetrable laser walls that kept Obi-Wan in confinement while he helplessly watched his teacher battle Darth Maul. Imagine if Obi-Wan was still trapped in the laser walls after Darth Maul killed Qui-Gon . Now imagine if Darth Maul had the ability to walk through the laser walls and fight Obi-Wan in that small confined space. That's the type of experience this weapon will introduce anywhere on any map.
The weapon will be in the form of a grenade, and when thrown, it will expand and form a neon red or blue (color depends on which team threw it) transparent box the size of the grenade room on Blood Drive. I'd like to name the weapon the Clutch Box, but that's not my choice to make. Any enemy caught in the Clutch Box cannot exit, but everybody else can enter and leave as they please; that way the weapon cannot be used as a blockade. The Clutch Box acts as a deployable wall to block bullets and explosions both from the inside and outside. You can take cover on both the outside and inside of the Clutch Box.
The amount of time and damage the Clutch Box will remain active isnt my choice, but I would set it at 15 seconds or a full point blank Gnasher clip/2 full Lancer clips/1 grenade blast or something as equally damaging before it deactivates. That gives the guy who threw it enough time to run into the Clutch Box to battle, and hopefully eliminate the enemy(s) he trapped. Besides trapping opponents for 1v1s, 1v2s, 1v3s, etc, the Clutch Box can be thrown at your feet and used to shield yourself and your teammates while you're capturing the ring in KoTH or thrown at an E-hole or generator in Overrun to protect it, it can also be thrown at a group of enemies just to trap and delay them for 15 seconds or before they break through it. If it's unbalanced for objective gametypes, then it should only be usable in elimination gametypes.
For Campaign and Horde, the Clutch Box can be used to temporarily detain powerful locusts so that you can focus on eliminating the lesser threats, or temporarily detain a swarm of less powerful locusts so you can focus on the powerful locust that's been making your life a living hell but was too far away to throw a Clutch Box at, or it can be thrown at your feet to protect you and your squad from near death but at the same time, doing so will allow the locust to advance even closer since you cannot shoot out of the Clutch Box.

I'd like to name the weapon the Clutch Box, but that's not my choice to make. Any enemy caught in the Clutch Box cannot exit, but everybody else can enter and leave as they please; that way the weapon cannot be used as a blockade. The Clutch Box acts as a deployable wall to block bullets and explosions both from the inside and outside, but cover cannot be taken from the outside of the box, only while inside; allowing the ability to take cover from the outside will prevent people who use the default control scheme from rolling into the Clutch Box.
The amount of time and damage the Clutch Box will remain active isnt my choice, but I would set it at 15 seconds or a full point blank Gnasher clip/2 full Lancer clips/1 grenade blast or something as equally damaging before it deactivates. That gives the guy who threw it enough time to run into the Clutch Box and hopefully eliminate the enemy he trapped. Besides trapping an opponent for a 1v1, the Clutch Box can be thrown at your feet and used to shield yourself and your teammates while you're capturing the ring in KoTH or thrown at an E-hole or generator in Overrun to protect it, it can also be thrown at a group of enemies just to trap and delay them for 15 seconds or before they break through it. If it's unbalanced for objective gametypes, then it should only be usable in elimination gametypes.
Interesting ideas.

As I stated in my post, it's not my decision to make it 15 seconds. That's just a placeholder based on my experience. The developers, should they choose to implement the Clutch Box, are the ones who dictate how long it lasts. They have the ability to test it's mechanics and tweak it to perfection, whereas I can only use my imagination.

With the introduction of quick throw grenades and power ups in the form of grenades, I think I've come up with a weapon that would add a fresh twist to combat. I've noticed that Gears maps were getting bigger and bigger and rifles were pretty much paralyzing you with stopping power, so I figured it was time Gears added a new method of movement that gave you the ability to perform wall bouncing without walls in order to thrive in huge open spaces and test the skill of rifleman. The wall bouncing without cover animation would be in the form of a knee slide (I describe it in more detail in my "What would you like to see in the next Gears' multiplayer" thread), but if implementing this new method of movement isn't feasible, a similar way to accomplish this is through one of those power up grenades.
If you've watched the movie Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, you may recall that epic scene where Qui-Gon Jinn battled Darth Maul while Obi-Wan Kenobi was eagerly waiting for the row of impenetrable laser walls to let him pass and join the fight. For Campaign and Horde, the Clutch Box can be used to temporarily detain powerful locusts so that you can focus on eliminating the lesser threats, or temporarily detain a swarm of less powerful locusts so you can focus on the powerful locust that's been making your life a living hell but was too far away to throw a Clutch Box at it for some temporary relief, or it can be thrown at your feet to protect you and your squad from near death but at the same time allow the locust to advance even closer since you cannot shoot out of the Clutch Box.
So basically it's an Ink Grenade.

I dont see how it's anything like an ink grenade. It's essentially a red or blue tinted Halo Bubble Shield that you can throw at and trap multiple enemies with. All enemies caught inside are able to move around, wall bounce, and fight back when the person who threw the Clutch Box goes inside to battle, and if he's good enough, claim his kill(s).

I feel if there should be ANY Grenades added to MP it should be the:
Kryll Grenade (functions like ink grenade on maps in the day) -- only because it exists in the Gears universe. Honestly felt the Inks on Bulletmarsh should of been these

Sentry and ammo boxes aren't 'nades, they are equiptment.
The health thing and motion sensor are 'nades...and they seem to only be in Overrun

From what I saw in the b-roll footage, Baird tossed an object with one hand as if it was a grenade that inflated into a full sized Sentry Turret. It seems that the Sentry Turret immediately inflates right when it leaves your hand and lands directly in front you. As for Cole, the physics of the object he threw to Paduk had the same characteristics as a grenade when bouncing off the wall before landing and inflating into an ammo box. If the form of the object Cole threw was a square ammo box, than it wouldnt have bounced off the wall as far as it did; square objects dont really bounce off walls.
Anyways, enough with the canon sensitivity. I'm pretty sure the devs can implement something like the Clutch Box with or without a background story, and most people wont complain about it breaking canon. If they do complain, it'd probably be about it's mechanics rather than the reason why it exists.

have a way to change whether our character is right handed or left handed. a way to do this could be:
go into tac/com and press Left on the D-pad to be left handed or right on the D-pad to become right handed again.
a powerful lever action weapon where we have to load single rounds and do multiple active reloads(for those of you who dont know what lever action means they are basically the same as the the rifles in Red dead redemption). im not sure whether or not this is a terrible idea for gears of war but i feel like it would be interesting to try it out.
also, i dont know if this the right thread to be asking this but will the original hammerburst/gorgon pistol be returning.

Not an idea but BOOMSHIELD, i wish it would fade faster and respawn back to its original position, so many times i will die with it by nades on overpass, some guy will grab it and die who knows where and it wont respawn for a long time!

how about a shot gun pistol? it could have 3 shots before reloading and each shot is weaker than the gnasher
also weapon skins like bronze, an old looking rusty one and more spray painted ones like spray painted on camo or maybe a pin up stenciled on the side or flames spray painted on there?

For your ribbons and medals i'd like to see a "killed while switching weapons" ribbon because i can't even begin to tell you how many times this has happened to me.
Another thing i didn't see or didn't notice in the suggestions was Map Hazards/Environmental effects. I'd like to see more of them.

Continuing off of my Clutch Box idea, my intention for the Clutch Box was to create a CQB environment in large open spaces, but now I'm starting to see that it can be so much more than that. A gametype that utilizes the Clutch Box concept of temporary deployable cover could make Gears the most dynamically strategic shooter to ever exist. I would imagine that Gears will continue it's trend of enlarging the maps and encouraging more rifle usage.
If that's the case, the gametype (let's call it Stratagem) should have all players spawn with the ability to deploy temporary cover of different shapes and sizes.*The maps for Stratagem should have power weapons and custom tailored map layouts. There's not much to tailor since the perfect maps would be huge open spaces with no layouts, e.g. no cover/rooms. The maps should have an invisible checkerboard on the floor to lock cover in place so that they dont overlap when thrown near each other.
The types of cover you can choose in Stratagem are a horizontal rectangular block, a vertical rectangular block, a standing rectangular block, and the Clutch Box. You can switch between all four pieces of cover on the fly via the d-pad. Each type of cover only lasts for a certain amount of time after you deploy them and will have cool down timers so that you can keep laying down cover. For instance (these are just placeholders, the devs can tinker with and find the best times), rectangular pieces of cover will last 10 seconds but will be on a 5 second cool down, and Clutch Boxes will last 15 seconds but be on a 20 second cool down. The fact that cover will rapidly expire will emphasize constant movement, which means more strategic placement of cover.
The pieces of cover will be a dark blue or dark red tint at first, and will continue to fade into a lighter tone until it expires. Right before a piece of cover expires, it'll rapidly transition/blink back and forth from light red/light blue to white in order to notify everbody that that piece of cover is about to expire. Unlike the Clutch Box, you cannot walk through or get trapped inside rectangular pieces of cover.
In Stratagem, every player has the ability to create cover/rooms anywhere on the map. This adds a whole new meaning to maneuvering in Gears. You no longer rely on predetermined routes of travel. You make your own routes and adjust accordingly with your opponents cover placement.

remove the bloom from the sniper when aiming! i dont mind the bloom for hipfire, but i think the sniper should be like the boltok when moving! without the bloom!!!

When I roll should be able to fire as a come up out of the roll (upper half of body already in the blind fire stance) and when I start the dive (before i hit the floor). Or when coming over cover , as soon as my character has stopped using his hands I should be allowed to aim and shoot again.
Saving people from executions and the meatshield.
I should be able to do this! If i can headshot an opponent BEFORE the actually stomp on my buddies head, my buddy should not instantly be dead. Same goes for the other showier/longer executions, if the fatal blow has not been landed then I should be able to save 'em.
I think the same ethic should be applied to the meatshield as well. If I can snipe the captor, I should be able to save the captive. Maybe give the captive half a health bar to be rescued with and make it not applicable to explosions, same for both with explosion really.
Obliteration of parties, not in the sense that you can't party up with your mates and chat or jump into games/play in games together.
But in the sense that the party should in no way effect what team you are on, eliminating stacking. Team balancing needs to be able to over-ride a parties 'team'. Awesomely now you could take parties of ten and the game would be able to deal with it. Although to give players the opportunity to work on teams together the would probably need to add the old team switching from G1.

Some additions.

- Weapons do not swap automatically when dropping a meatshield. (VERY annoying when this happens)
Weapon preference
Now that Y swaps from pistol/heavy to main, we need the ability to select which main it swaps to. I don't want to pull out a Lancer when I've been Snubing somebody.
Custom control scheme
Would be nice.
Other things that need looking into (probably already said these) :
- Mortar stun removed: I'm sick of cringing for no reason when I'm almost out of range. The fact that it affects teammates too is ridiculous also.
- Remove aim assist. It shouldn't be in the game.
- Remove all stun. Cringe is fine though.
- Stopping Power should only affect players running AT you, not away.
- Every character should have the sane hitbox. There is literally no reason for this not to be the case.

You can't please everyone.
If hitboxes are the same, certain characters wont register hits if you hit smaller details (think of Therons)
If hitboxes match the character, certain characters will have larger/smaller hitboxes
--Epic has met in the middle (or near the middle)
If really is a lose/lose situation for them :/
--that's what you get when you have a game with characters that are unique

On hitboxes: I do see the Theron problem. That said, the hits wouldn't register on a normal character so it's only fair that they don't register on the Theron either -- even if the character model is being hit.
Only real problem I see is headshot issues. That's sort of been addressed by having the males lurch and the females stand upright though.

Yeah i could do all these things at the start of g1 and that is soooo sad that i will probably never see this again. It should make a come back to make the game a bit more fluid again , i know epic just want us to sit down and blind fire machine guns across the map. But they have also gotta realise that just re-adding that one group of moves would add so much more to CQC.

TBH if your in guardian or KOTH and you get meatshielded maybe you deserve a few seconds punishment for being downed? It might make little kids cry , but surely the rest of us can just man up and take it. And get revenge next time.

Then play togehter nothing about my suggestion would stop you from doing this, or do you mean you always want to stack teams?
One of the reasons G1 was always more fun it due to the ability for people to change teams between rounds. This allowed people to balance teams themselves and also made sure that the teams were not lopsided numbers wise.
It worked (nearly) perfectly, if you got against a full team one game they were likely to split themselves up for the next one, and if they didn't, why were you staying and playing obvious douches?
With the current set up if any of my random friends join me in a game very very quickly we are stacked against random players and have no way of breaking our 'party' to even up the numbers or even manage to play against each other! So i don't even have a way to fix this issue if i actually wanted to!GAH!!!!!!
I want to BEAT my friends at the game as well as play with them and the current set up screws with this completely, and I don't want parties not working I'd just prefer that they did not effect team balancing.

Drop medals and weapon skins. Medals take out the fun by encouraging people to grind rather than just playing the game. Achievements already fulfill the role of grinding (Microsoft even announced that pretty soon achievements will actually reward you with Microsoft points), medals just adds a longer list of things to do and only rewards you extra XP and a title that cant be seen during gameplay. If the devs want to incorporate a "to do list" that'll keep players hooked for a long period of time on trying to finish any and every task presented to them, then the devs need to implement a daily or weekly challenge list (like on Halo Reach). Doing so will make it feel less like a chore and more like an accomplishment.
As for weapon skins, they need to be dropped ASAP! The gold skins in Gears 2 were fine as they signified status, but now there's so many non-Gears related skins that it totally destroyed their value/meaning. The devs need to drop medals and weapon skins and implement character specific unlockables such as executions, one liners, and armor pieces/outfits. To attain them you would have to achieve certain milestones with a multiplayer character, such as earning 50 Clutch ribbons in ranked matches as Cole unlocks a Cole themed armor piece/outfit (every 50 Clutch ribbons earned in ranked matches unlocks another character specific armor piece/outfit), earning 100 Nemesis ribbons as Cole in ranked unlocks Cole's unique execution for the Lancer (every 100 Nemesis ribbons earned in ranked unlocks another character specific execution for another weapon), and getting 100 MVP ribbons in ranked matches as Cole unlocks one of Cole's one liners (every 100 MVP ribbons earned in ranked unlocks another character specific one liner).
Having unlockables that dont require you to stray away from your playstyle and compromise your performance by using a weapon you're not good at in order to get a medal that unlocks an execution you'll probably never use, or some other medal that requires you to grind, does not contribute to a positive gameplay experience. Unlike medals and most weapon skins, character specific unlockables displays your progression/achievements with your favorite character during gameplay. You can't see medals when you're fighting seasoned players, but with character specific unlockables, you can differentiate the casuals from the hardcore by that one liner that you've never heard the character they're playing as say, or by that wicked armor configuration/outfit their character is rocking, or by that brutal execution you saw their character perform.
Lastly, ranked matches needs to be the only place to earn multiplayer unlockables and multiplayer achievements. This will add more people to the pool of players in ranked, as there's a significant amount of people that play private or quick matches just to boost medals, ribbons, achievements, etc. If they really want those unlockables and achievements they'll have to earn it like everybody else. They'll either get better at the game, stop playing the game, or boost. To get rid of boosting in ranked, the devs should have a death timeline showing who killed who at what time and in what area for every round of the match (dead giveaways are 2 people taking turns killing each other in an isolated part of the map). On top of that, all the scorecards of matches you played should be accessible by anyone when they go on your Gears profile. Furthermore, there should be an option to send the scorecard of the boosters to have the devs verify whether or not those people were boosting.

I've always used the 'Mechanics' and 'Aesthetics' labels.
Really they are "gameplay/controls/mechanics" and "Aesthetics/UI/User Friendliness"
--I didn't really know how to simplify those...so those are the 2 names I picked
I thought yours fit under the 'UI/User Friendliness" thing
--but now that I look at it...it seems to fit in both pretty well :/

Really? It was discussed in the recent (now locked) thread - LH seemed to suggest it wouldn't be too hard to do this, since it wouldn't require integration between the forum and the game itself. It's just creating the skin and making codes available for it. That, and it probably wouldn't cause the excessive spamming/joining that would be seen if there were a post count objective.
Although whether it's indeed feasible or viable is indeed beyond my puny knowledge.

Everybody loves executions, but you know what? There simply isn't enough of them.
I had a mini-stroke when I heard that gears was having unique executions for all weapons, but the majority of them were pretty disappointing, and for some reason mostly revolved around taking the head of your victim off. Some were just plain dull, and almost felt as if someone had animated one and the big-wigs turned around to say "yep, that'll do". This was saved by the 'weapon swap execution' glitch for me, which is undoubtedly the best glitch Gears 2 & 3 had.
So, an idea perhaps, is to have multiple unique executions per weapon. The controls for the game would remain the same, but you could only have one unique execution selected at a time for each weapon. Let's say for example, the lancer gets a second execution similar to the Retro, but instead he Rev's the chainsaw and slices the victims throat. How about setting up a menu within the options for executions, where you can preview each one and use that as your execution for that weapon. NOW whenever you hold the Y button with the lancer out, you'll do that one instead. Aside from using medals, you can also use your executions for blagging rights, and show off just how much time you've put into each weapon. It might also encourage people to execute a lot more, because we all like to show off our toys.
The possibilities are endless, you can have as many or as few executions per weapon as Epic has time to animate. As you use/execute with each weapon more, you can unlock the more brutal executions, or even unlock 'holdable' executions, where you can keep hitting the Y button to keep it going for longer. (That would only work for some animations of course).
Hell I'll tell you what, somebody send me an animate-able character for 3DS Max and I'll do a whole bunch of them myself. Executions gives Gears that competitive edge, I feel it deserves a bit of attention no?

For tac com I think they should do either one of these.
1. The players gamertag in on top of whatever weapon they have equipped Like this I slapped together in 2 minutes.

2. The other option I'd like considering is this. The silhouette of the weapons carried are colour coded. Once you drop below a certain % ammo for said weapon it blends into orange, red and then finally black with a cross on it. I'm not against ammo sharing, but sometimes it can be hard to tell who's running dry, especially in the age of party chat and people going micless.

Obviously the ingame ones would be tidier than these. I literally just threw them together. They'd be tiny as well, maybe a few lines bigger than the current ones we have in GoW3
Something I'd also like to see the back of is the 'snap to' feature. When I'm trying to execute someone the last thing I want is for the camera to swing round show me a team mate that has been downed. Sometimes it messes the camera up really bad. Just get rid of it.
While we're on the topic of notifications, put a distance tag on the downed player along with a bleed out meter. Sometimes it's unclear if they are just on the other side of the wall or all the way across the map because of how some of the map are designed. I don't want to have to press the tac com because while it's up I cannot fire. I don't want to run miles if I know it is in vain.

You do realize that OverRun, the class based game type is a single mode...right?
Highly doubt anything class based will make it into competitive multiplayer.
Also, how is it cute to see developers admit when they are wrong, majority of developers admit when something imbalances their franchises. Their consumers whine and complain for good reason and usually due to popular demand when a new title is released they try to mix a batch that equally is likeable by the competitive and casual community.
I see this as the case with judgement.
Also judgement is coming out in a normal time frame?
I don't see why anyone would be upset about a new game, new campaign and new changes and balancing.

thats whats going to happen for many video games to come until someone strays away. release date is quick . gears 3 died cuz of two noob weapons. 1 that,for now,takes some skill after being nerfed. the other one has gotten a buff

A cut-scene viewer will probably not happen because cut-scenes occur in real time so to re-watch individual scenes would require very long loading times

This essentially forces you to sacrifice/hinder your performance because you have to use a weapon you're not good with. As I mentioned in post #221, unlockables shouldnt require you to do things that interfere with your playstyle and hinder your performance. Besides hit boxes, character choice doesnt interfere with your playstyle or hinder your performance. That's why I recommend character specific unlockables where reaching certain milestones unlocks different things for every character.

It doesn't make you do anything...
If you want the execution, then you will need to use the gun.
If you don't want to use the gun...then you will never need the execution...
Also, I thought you were just against medals and skins that didn't show any skill/accomplishment...so I had this in the OP:
• Remove the 'arcady' feel by removing weapon skins and medals (except those that show big accomplishments)
I want the old musical score to come back, a little of Gears 1, and a little of Gears 2. One Gears 3 song I enjoyed but otherwise I prefer the older stuff.
I know it's not a gameplay related request, however.
