They need to stick with the Handicap Gamer Control Scheme, which is full customization of the button layout. If I want to I should able to put anything anywhere and everyone will be satisfied.

Or just leave it the way it was instead of changing the controls for no good reason but to make it easier for new players.

Their could always be a default so I don't see any reason not to include it.

I'm hoping they give us the option. Some people welcome the change and some people want the classic control scheme. This way everyone will be happy.

A choice between the two would be the best option for all. I want to try the new control scheme, but I don't want to be stuck with it if I don't like it :/

Just play with different control schemes, customize your sensitivity and find something that your comfortable with :D

Am I the only one here who doesn't have an issue with the D-Pad? None of my friends do either. I don't see anything behind the whole "clunky D-pad" excuse, its a coy to get CoD gamers and other casual gamers to get into Gears
Personally, I can't wait for the new controls, and I wish Epic would patch them into Gears 3. Pure speculation: If another reason they created new controls is to free up space on the d-pad for new features, a classic control scheme won't be possible. There wouldn't be enough buttons.
