Ranked Matches vs. Quick Matches

There needs to be a difference between the two for GoWJ. The difference should be Quick Matches should not be on the leaderboards and Ranked Matches should be ranked on the leaderboards (hence the name ranked match). I think the name of Quick Matches should also be changed back to Social Match. What do you guys think?

If Epic makes it so that ranked matches are far more important than quick matches in Gears Judgement, then they'll have to have a matchmaking system that actually works. The way it works now, ranked games consist of stacked teams of five versus randoms, EVERY SINGLE TIME.

Dude they had social leaderboards for gears 2 and QM leaderboards in 3 taking it off for this one is would be completely unnecessary

Other than the exp boost there shouldn't be any difference. The only difference I could see is in Halo 3, when you went it with a full team it only placed you with other full teams. (It's been awhile since I've played it, but if my memory isn't failing me tonight I remember this) Now that is something I would be behind fully.

They should bring back the game lobbies from Gears 1 for ranked matches only. Always liked how that was set up.
Quick Matches should be kept as they are but i wouldn't mind seeing the leader boards kept exclusively for ranked as well.

I said i wouldn't mind them not including a leader board for quick matches. I'm not pushing for it.

and as far as the gears 1 lobbies go, I preferred it being luck of the draw over lets just get a bunch of MLGs together in a party and search for a game.

We know what I want for Gears Judgement and its matchmaking, and if we don't, look at the quoted post in my signature and have a rummage in that thread for a few of the subsequent pages. It was a good discussion, and a shame not more people contributed.

Basically, our population struggles with two stereotyped playlists, and merging would provide a stronger population to allow fairer and faster matchmaking, taking TrueSkill into account.

Or even a CoD lobby style, which would reduce the number of dead lobbies, and actually promote starting from the beginning etc. this again would actually make use of TrueSkill, and it would again give a larger number of players to work with.

I have done and recorded the XP I earned while playing Ranked and Quick in a two hour session, and taking into account the obvious waiting times and the fact you will more often than not get a lower score, Ranked earns you less XP than Quick most, if not all of the time.

You can't just look at the figures here, it gives a false impression on the overall standing.

Okay, that's fine, but will never occur in the real game, which is what, I believe, what ultimately counts for the consumer. In my eyes, the subjective is often more important than the objective, especially for something like this, where there are variables to overcome.
