Weapon skins for Judgment?

So anyone else think will there be weapon skins for Gears of War Judgment as well? I know EPIC made some good money of those skins. Or was it only good for Gears 3.

Only good for Gears 3. In Gears 2 I liked having the golden hammerburst because I felt more like an individual whereas my whole team had usual lancers and hammerburst. 3 kinda took away the materialistic value and envy alternate weapon skins had. I'd like that to return because I felt kinda snobby and special with my golden hammerburst so I was playing with a positive mentality.

Only ones that are obtainable in-game that require specific (tough) challenges. That way the skins seem more rare and you won't necessarily run into 3 or 4 people in the same game with the same weapon skin.

I would love to see more weapon skins, but at the same time would want the skins I bought and unlocked in Gears 3 to transfer over.

One of the reasons I hoped this would share the MP network, so that although its a new game, stats and unlocks would carry over, like how Halo was handled.

Yeah, this is important to me actually. I want exclusivity by difficult (but not impossible) unlock. This means that people will aim for different skins and play accordingly to get them, and showoff the type of player you are.

It's a much more desirable method than purchase, although from a business sense, there's more money to be made the GoW:3 'way'.

I would want a fair balance here. For GOW3 far too many were put on the sale block out of the gate. Yet the unlocks were somewhat underwhelming, or tied to an idiotic achievment ( ivory) or tied to an event that could be missed (beta/flames). I'm game for unlocks tied to beating the game on difficulty levels (impossible), kill counts (onyx), matches played (team logo) that are earnable in both private and public martches, but please no more crap like kill 10 in a round as leader on a specific map.

Obviously weapon skins will return. They know players like customisation, and they know that weapon skins earned a lot of money. I wouldn't be surprised if Epic pull another 'withholding all these skins to charge you a ridiculous fee for them' again, either.

Also this. Charging us for those weapon skins in GoW3 was weak. More unlockables; less paid skins. We only had four unlockable weapon skins on release. Just four.

I disagree on that point. As a Grears player that bought the bought the initial weapon skin pack, and the subsequent DLC, and has unlocked all but one of the unlockable skins, I think it would be excellent to roll the skins into the next game. This way a customer's investment in the bought skins would not feel like a waste , as they get to enjoy them in two very similar games and leave them behind when they move to GOWJ. Furthermore if EPIC decided to offer new weapon skins specifically for GOWJ, and this is something the player enjoys, then they still may be inclined to make such a purchase again.

Also if the unlocked skins of GOW3 carried over into GOWJ they are a statements of your past accomplishments.

Nah. I'd much sooner see an in depth selection of in-game unlocks.

No doubt man, but how about a straight up onyx look, instead of the dripping sauce? I'm might not like some of these weapon skins, so by no means I'm trying to petition to have them gone, but i prefer it if they actually added in some more realistic ones that didnt require beating all 3 campaigns and being a veteran gear you know? I would like to even see a skin where a weapon looks battle worn. A few scratches, some tape maybe and some chips or chunks missing....or some dented heat guards from golf swinging. :)

Yeah i get where your coming from, I think everyone wanted a more onyx-ish color for the skins. Like the black parts on the midnight skin, but without the white omen and all. that would have been kick ass.

same, i usually now stick to onyx or ivory, every once in a while though i change it up.
