View Full Version : 3dsMax 2013 to udk Pivot Point problems

I have been trying to set up pivots for some modular building I will be creating in UDK. I am using 3dsmax 2013 and it is not working.

I go to Hierarchy, affect pivot only and moving the pivots to the bottom-left,. but whenever I import the mesh in udk the pivots do not go to where the individual pivots are supposed to be. What am I doing wrong?


my steps in 3ds max.

1. I have about 4+ meshes set up that each need the pivot on the bottom-back-left.
2. i have individually set up the pivot using the hierachy tab and affect pivot only.
3. i then export via, fbx

When you export it places the pivot at the origin, the pivot point of your mesh doesn't make any difference.

Which means that before exporting each piece, set them to 0,0,0 export, then just undo the movement. Rinse and repeat.
