Simple as that, I'm tired of explaining myself.

- No element of surprise.
- No planned tactics.
- Matches end in 2.5 seconds
- Running in like animals
- No chance to clutch/hide/comeback

It's the truth and those who disagree are people who never played Gears of War 2.
They said they're bringing back Guardian? This isn't it.

Please try again Epic, stop catering to these tunnel visioned fools. It's making your hardcore audience sick to their stomachs.

I agree it does make it harder to clutch.

If you good enough it shouldnt be a problem, Besides both leaders can do it so its balanced.

Your logic is extraordinary! I didn't know that since both leaders have it, its balanced! Wow, thank you.

Point is, not everyone has the time to coordinate and make a team. People have day jobs and or go to school. If you're playing by yourself, you don't know if leader is good or not and if that person isn't, then how what do you do? And please don't tell me to play another game type. I've been playing guardian since Gears 2, I'll play what I want.

Using the tac-com when I was leader, actually got me killed. Because what happened, it was on Jacinto and I was up at tower hiding behind a corner. I was pressing LB and I see a Valera lurking around the corner. So I got my lancer and thumb ready on B button and then as she came at me, I pressed B to rev up chainsaw but it WOULDN'T WORK! Cause I still had LB pressed lol. So she shot and gibbed me with gnasher.

The name of the game mode is to keep your leader alive. No point in clutching.

i clutched this morning killed the leader and team no problem i dont see the big fuss (im not saying you dont have a right to be upset for your own reasons). plus the x ray you have to be fully focusing with that tac-com i barely use it unless i know im in a goood position to get a good eye on the enemy. over all i didnt play the old version but this version is pretty good

Same thing about playing alone applies if you are the leader though. If your team are hopeless and you can't talk to them, you need some way of defending yourself a little better, especially with the abundance of Sawed-Off rushers playing as extra-skinny characters.

Not saying the tac/com ain't a problem, nor am I saying it is. Just representing one side of the debate.

First off, the Leader Tac-Com seeing the enemy's been part of Gears 3 since launch.

Second off, if players aren't coordinating, that's not the gametype's fault - put the blame where it belongs, firmly on the players.

Third off, if there's no chance of "clutching" then maybe you shouldn't get yourself into that position in the first place. I got so freaking sick of Gears 2 morons who'd think that once the enemy leader was dead, they could just close their eyes, randomly roadie run in any direction they wanted and do NOTHING to protect their own leader, then scream at the top of their kiddie lungs when their own loader got a 4vs1 rush and they lost.

Fourth off, in case you forgot, when Gears 2 came out, the Gears 1 fanboys (which, make no mistake, are just as overbearing as the Gears 2 fanboys) complained that it wasn't "hardcore" like Gears 1. It's not because of the quality of the game - that's just nostalgia speaking. Don't believe me? Go out and find any game series - any at all. I don't care what it is or what genre it represents. I guarantee you, right here, right now, you WILL find a very vocal, very overbearing, very obsessed minority group of drooling, raving fanboys who lash out at the slightest suggestion that the original game in the series they love so much isn't some Holy Grail of video gaming from a by gone era.

Fifth off, players have been bellyaching about having Guardian back for months now, now that Epic's done it, the first thing out of their mouths is "Well, it's not Gears of War 2 Guardian!!!" No it's not, because this isn't Gears of War 2. That little number "3" at the end of your game case should've been your first clue on that. You want Gears of War 2 Guardian? I have a great, fool-proof solution, one that will work every time - Go play Gears of War 2.

Sixth off....yeah I've already hit on the stuff worth mentioning, so I'm done. Peace.

anyone who defends the fact that the leader should keep Xray vision is either

a) reliant on it
b) doesn't understand what the community meant when we said bring back Guardian

And if you bring in the oh its a team game argument, ffs its not about that. the community wanted Guardian, not a variant of Guardian, just plain old simple Guardian. There was a reason why it was the 2nd most played game type.

Yes we are thankful they brought it back, but first of all, they should have never gotten rid of it, and second if they were going to bring because of community demand, why change it? it makes no sense.

I disagree. Mainly because of Jacinto. All the maps are so open now that allowing the leaders to see where enemies are balances it out for me. If you have a leader with a mic that is.

This is the idea of it. You are the leader only you can use the Tac-com that shows the enemies. If you are playing a legit team that communicates and your team doesn't you will most likely loose. If both teams are fully communicating the match can last a little while. I don't think it ruins guardian at all. Was always part of guardian. and why would you need to clutch playing guardian that's the not the point of Guardian at all.

My point exactly if both teams communicate its pretty balanced comes down to the better team.

Ya its harder to clutch. And think of how stupid that superman vision is, what other shooter allows you to see through walls? like how stupid is that? Take it out.

Guardian would be worse without tac/com and anyway you have that giant star above the leaders head and three people can rush him use your head

Yeah, i agree. I've been trying to like it but it's just not working and only making me frustrated in the process. Since in QM people don't always talk it's awful in the first place the way it plays out now. Although I have clutched a 1v6 (one guy respawned), that's the most so far. It's near impossible when you're instantly pushed back after your leader is down and their whole team is picking your team off so easily. I think the shortest game i've seen was on Cove where I rushed frags, threw them to the barriers/stalls on the other side of the Boomshot towards the other team and killed 3 people. It ended in 24 seconds.
