After much deliberation within our group we've decided to find someone with a strong passion for 3d modeling who can hopefully take one of our guys drawn concepts & turn it into a full animated model. For those who have trouble with texturing dont hesitate to come forward, you're skills will still be a huge asset to the team.

The first model will be of a mech-type unit.

What we're looking for;
Experience using either Maya/3DS Max
Each unit should be rigged and animated.
Each unit should be scaled properly within UDK.

Passion for gaming would be a huge bonus.

Feel free to pm me with any questions.
Sorry for the lack of game info, everything is currently zip lipped but will be unvield in time.

You're not likely to find any interest for this job with this post. For a second, just put yourself in an artists shoes who is looking for a project. This artist goes to the UDK forums in search. He comes to a thread that is very detailed, shows of some great work, and an interesting story. This sparks his interest, but continues to look at his options. Then he comes to this post. Why would any artist want to join a team he/she knows nothing about? They don't know if your team is legitimate, they don't know if this is one of those projects that lasts a whole month, or even worse, a year, before everything goes into the muck and wasted. They don't even know what type of project they are going to be working on! In a forum where there are plenty of projects to choose from, you will not receive any interest as is. To become competitive for good artists, you are going to have to open up a bit. You can either take my word for it or find out the hard way. Good luck.

Seriously? no replies in 2-3 hours and you assume the forums are dead? read lovindadonks comments to see why there isn't a lineup around the block to join your team.

On top of all that is this a paying gig, non-pay, royalty? Re-iterating on what he said, there are 6-12 new projects posted here every week, is it really that difficult to understand why people would have a hard time getting excited about yours versus all of the other candidates when they know nothing about the project itself let alone the team running the project? Sure they could spend time pm'ing you and starting a discussion or they could just check out one of the other dozens of projects who have something substantial to show and a team that inspires confidence and pm/email them. Your secrecy is only hurting you and will prevent you from attracting any talent necessary to realize your project.

I see you're point, its actually a fair point. I guess the best way to go about this would be to wait for our guy to come back & search again once we're comfortable making it public.

Thanks for the post donk lover ;)
