Wish I would be a bit older to have been in the modding scene already at the time when the Unreal franchise started. Would surely have my mind blown at that time.

It's funny to see how everyone always skips UT2k3 as if it never existed, though. :D

Ah, nice video.
Wish there were more of them out there...

Indeed. :)

But in fact it's not really worth a mention since UT2004 = UT2003 + more.

Anyways, in this video it was always underlined how much they care about their franchise, the fans are getting nervous though, many old fans are waiting for a new game with focus on a "back to the roots" concept and start having doubts, not only UT fans, but especially original Unreal fans.
From my own experience on several forums it seems like people would like to see a decent Unreal single player game with coop support and a decent UT AS/DM/CTF multiplayer.
Those who loved the original Unreal were never fully satisfied with Unreal II as it was a good game, but it didn't really have what you would expect from an Unreal game. Something essential was missing... most likely it was the style and fast pace and that you had contact with living humans.

And I don't understand why (if it was praised so much) there was no Assault in UT3.
It was a big turn off for Assault fans when UT3 was released and the Assault fanbase is not really a small one.

And then again there is this silence so many fans are worried about. It might be good to drop at least a few hints if there are plans for a new game.

I'm searching for answers, yet I can't find any. :(

God I loved those games. That pelvic thrust taunt to this day makes me laugh uncontrollably. Cliffy's description was spot on.

my greatest entertainment, was questioning the signi***ance of a pelvis thrusting robot. as far as the taunts went. but yeah,as definitive a game as you can comprehend. mod it, make maps, make weapons, use the ue/udk to make what ever the heck you want. i still think the engine is as close to killer app for the industry as it gets.

Not to mention the depth of gameplay was mind boggling.
