How do you know if you have been banned from Gears of War 3 servers?

When I play Gears I can't change my party settings from System Link or Local. Do you think I've been suspended from the servers or something is just wrong with my game?

Gears3 online bans are permanent and just making a new account on the console with the banned gamertag will not help you at all.
All new accounts made on the XBox with the formerly banned account will also get banned sooner or later cause EPIC bans your Gamertag and your console ID.

You need to buy a new console and make a fresh account on the new one to enjoy MP again.

Or its that glitch that showed up when fenix rising was released, where you can't join a session but get stuck in local. If thats the case just back out to start menu. And re enter the main menu
