Whats up forum. I was talking to a few of my friends the other day about what would make maps currently not used for KoTH competitive play work better (Things such as which hills should be removed/moved, ect)


I wanted to move this debate over here. What would you change about KoTH on each map to make it better?

I'll post more in a bit, but for my 2 cents, I think Thrashball KoTH would work well if there weren't so many hills that spawned upstairs. I think if 2 of the upstairs hills were removed, and maybe even replaced by hills downstairs it would be better and less campy. That way holding top and bottom control would be important at all times, and there wouldn't be as many campy hills.

Also on Trenches KoTH I think opening up the windows on top of the balconies in spawn (The staircase above ink/fire grenades) would be a good idea because it would give teams another way to fight for the top hill, and would require teams who hold the hill to spread out more to defend it.

I think Slab will be great for competitive KotH.

Back on topic: A lot of KotH maps don't work because of unbreakable hill spots, and spawns that spawn your team consistently far away from hill and their team close to hill.

Also, when people spawn like a foot away from you.


IMO: KotH won't ever be competitive unless Epic does major overhauls.
