View Full Version : Something funny about the post-game lobby menu

In Ranked (and maybe Quick Match), right when the match is over and your team wins, you see the player menu and right away 1-2 names drop out.
They basically LOST XP points (-2000 for you!) and couldn't even wait for 20 more seconds.

What doesn't make sense is, you see a post-post game menu anyways when it searches for a new match, and it shows exactly who quit at the end (name is highlighted) and how many kills/deaths they have.

Needless to say, most of the quitters did horribly and must be so embarrassed :D:D:D

I never really understood the players who did that. Is 20 seconds that much of a wait that you'd rather lose points then see the game screen tally up your score?

Quitting an already-ended Ranked Match is like refusing to pick up a $100 bill on the floor, because it's too much work to bend down and pick it up. You're so lazy, you don't want free experience.

That's a good way of putting it.
If they wanted to totally rage quit and lose points, they could've quit earlier in the match (not that I encourage that).
Here, they stick it out to the end, then quit right before they hit the finish line. :D

The game even gives a fair warning about losing XP but they don't seem to care. I guess their ego is bruised seeing their name on the bottom.

This is actually something my friends and I have discussed quite a bit. After you get the page showing your ribbons you can leave with no penalties. I've actually wondered why it makes you wait 20 seconds when you can leave after maybe 5 seconds with the same results.

I'm pretty sure you lose points in Ranked.
Are you talking about Quick Match?

I do know that it used to let you quit early, but I think after TU1 or something you lose points for bailing at the end menu in Ranked.

Well, not saying you're making it up. As long as the "warning screen" doesn't pop up for you, you will keep your points.

You won't get a consecutive match bonus when you leave but all the exp earned during is still given and you don't loose any exp at all, I've done it until you broke consecutive bonus, lol.

As long as the match is finished, and the scoreboard is shown, you can safely quit to the menu without worries, now in the menu the lvl progress will pop and the ribbons aswell. (This is for Ranked)

Um are you all crazy? When the match is over ie last kill dead and done you can leave and not get -2000. XP Points tally up, ribbons and medals come up just like you stayed. Needless to say, you must be so embarrassed lol :D Noobs

It only shows up after quiting a QM if you've done 1 or more full matches. If you quit halfway nothing comes up. Seriously you own the game how could you not know these things?

Probably to let the lobby have a short post-game chat before closing it
