No MLG this season =/

I won't hate though. 3 more seasons of MLG. Just keep the hype going and this game will go far. We have Hypefestation, we have developers who continue to work on the game, and we have a community that isn't full of a bunch of ****heads who quit their game the moment MLG drops it *Cough Halo Cough*

To be honest I'm not that surprised, then again I've only recently started paying attention to MLG and the way it all works. He didn't rule out future seasons which is a plus and already hinted that MLG WILL be doing something in the future thanks to Epic's involvement. If TU4 is as big and does as much fixing that we've all been asking for, both competitive and casual community alike, then it would make perfect sense. Right now the last 3 TU's did hardly anything game changing and the B&M's are stacking up. Addressing these deep issues will only make the game more stable for when and if it gets picked up after Winter season.

It's time Epic start taking care of the game play flaws that have been discovered and are mostly agreed upon since the games been out. If they manage to find a way to make TDM work, well, we could have another game mode to look forward to once again. Execution has been re-mastered as it should have been, and KOTH is still very difficult to play and losing or winning hardly means much when lucky spawns, crappy spawns, and inconsistent spawns make things somewhat unpredictable. IMO spawns should be predictable for either team, whether that includes team specific spawns or what not, and the rings should be always geared an equal distance from both teams spawn points at that moment, if less rings are needed then so be it.

As fun as KOTH is to watch, being a all KOTH player myself I know how difficult it can be and how ruthless some people are when commentating matches as if they think being shut out is impossible to do and means you're trash, or made no attempt to win.

While not a competitive player myself I have recently been an avid spectator and support the passion of competitive players, lets get some of these issues resolved so when it does get picked up the game will be more polished than ever leaving nothing to dispute at the end of a sweet victory or bitter loss.

The reason probably lies with the cost and equipment needs of adding another game to the circuit. It probably wasn't in the budget for the to have an extra game on the circuit. MLG is very conservative with their money and don't like to do things half-assed.

I'm sure it will pop up in the next season as someone said, and it will be awesome.

Oh wait, I did. Thats what happens when you put OP rifles in the game, everyone camps and its boring, nobody wants to watch that sh*t. Seriously, i watched 2 matches in Hypefestation and it felt like a chore.

If the community shrinks a little, it won't matter...as long as it is there still. Once MLG announces it in spring, it will just grow back and old players will start playing again.

You have no idea what you are talking about, I never saw one match with 5 minutes of no kills. There were some maps that were campy and led to slow paced gameplay (trenches, mercy, thrashball)

BUT KEEP IN MIND, IT IS A COMMUNITY RUN TOURNAMENT AND THE WHOLE POINT IS TO FIND THE 11 BEST GAMETYPES. The maps won't be the same come the next hype or MLG event.

The 10,000 people spectating the last hype disagree. The game plays out much different on LAN. There are slow games, but its the teams like infinity who play aggressively who come out on top.

Uhhh what match are you referring to? Im going to assume you didn't actually watch the event and you just post things like this because you like getting into arguments. I watched every single match (Except for Mbn vs Fathering) and none of the matches went on like that.

It was a Execution match on Trenches. Actually, I should correct myself, with 3 seconds left in the round 1 or 2 people charged with a Gnasher and got a kill, my bad. The round still ended in a stalemate and they only did it because they new it wouldnt affect the outcome at all.

If you're going to post ridiculous accusations like this, you need to cite your sources. Which match specifically was it? Trenches was played numerous times throughout the event, and while I personally think it's one of the slower maps for execution, it was nowhere near as bad as a 4 on 4 stalemate.

Well yes I did actually watch all the matches, and I don't remember the match you are attempting to describe which is why I think you're just exaggerating. The fact that you don't know who the match was between pretty much invalidates anything you said about the subject. If you're going to try and claim that a match went an entire round in a 4v4 stalemate with nobody pushing eachother untill the last few seconds, you should have no problem remembering who the match was between.

Again I dont deny Trenches is a slower map compared to the rest, however I think you're just exaggerating on how slow the map actually was. If you can prove me wrong I'll take everything back, but seeing as you can't even recall who was playing in this match, I'm going to safely assume that it wasn't nearly as bad as you make it out to be.

As Mlg is more than a Playlist. Mlg is an event, so if there are not enough tickets being bought Mlg will no be making money off of Gears of War 3. That being Said We as Mlg community which only has the fewest members in Both of Cod and Halo. We need to step it up, I played Mlg for halo3 it was Intense because there were so many communities for Halo Mlg. Gears has only One Mlg Community That is known, vVv Gaming, and vVv is not a place for people wanting to get into the Competitive, poeple who join vVv usually has some exp in GB or Mlg. So what it wrong with the Gears players. Why dont we join together and make A Better community in where New Gear heads can learn, where we cant teach our fellow gears heads. I agree, maybe it doesn't happen at places like Hype but if this is how the gameplay is, why will casuals watch? (slow and campy due to OP rifles) they'll think that's what gow3 competitively is... get rid of Stopping Power for the lancer!

It has nothing to do w any of this. Following sundance's twitter feed, it appears to do w some of their partners, and issues of that regard, not gameplay. I'm willing to bet its in the spring.

vVv is not the only community and there very small in Gears nowadays, also MLG is more thn an event its a playlist but we don't need too rely on MLG we are self sustaining especially with Hypefestation
