Hey guys, I've seen a lot of artists' portfolios and most of the time they have custom backgrounds when showing off props and I know you can do it in Maya, Marmoset Toolbag etc as they all output alpha channels of the image for easy selection. But I was wondering, is there a way UDK can do something like this?

You could just put a plane behind your object--or make the environment a specific color and key it out.

Thanks for the reply, I got a giant sphere with full green on it and set the material to unlit. But now, is there a way to have the camera go round in a smooth motion? E.g. in maya you can set a circular spline as a camera path. I know you can rotate interp actors but for some reason I select all the meshes and I can't group them.

I don't think grouping works that way. What you could do is attach the camera to an interp actor in the center and then rotate the interp actor. Otherwise you can animate the camera in a circle by hand (you can see the trajectory to make sure it's a circle).

Ahh ok. Basically I have a building and a windmill on the same diorama and the windmill spins. Was just seeing if there's a way of having the camera rotate round the diorama whilst the windmill is spinning. I'll have a try on the Matinee camera but I've had trouble of getting it in a perfect circle before.
