Lotta great games came out over the last 6 months and not one has managed to rip me away from Gears 3. I simply finish the campaign of whatever game it is and then go back to playing gears.
Every game has it's strengths and every game has it's weaknesses. I'm not gonna get into it coz there's roughly a bazillion threads moaning but I'd just like to say this game kicks the arse out of any other game for multiplayer, including it's predecessors. Time it got a little heads up for how awesome it is.
PS with a miriad of events, game types, weap skins, char skins, medals etc etc the fan service is pretty much top of the food chain too. Please moan less and play more

Nice to see positive threads, I totally thought your title was sarcastic. These forums have made me bitter haha

No matter how much I say I hate gears, it is actually a great game.

I'm always eager to play new games and beat single player campaigns. For the first time I can remember, I have a significant backlog of games. Nothing is more interesting to me than playing and improving at Gears. Heck, I gave away MW3 and would do the same with BF3 if it was useful without an online pass.
Some parts of the game are frustrating, but I love Gears.

LOL wrong use of it's... twice. So many people make that grammatical error.
OT: Same, I love Gears 3 but I did play Uncharted 3 and that's a wicked game as well. :]

Totally agree OP - I've only played Skyrim when Gears wasn't working properly, like when the serves went down.
Damn - I love this game. I've actually just bought a copy for my friend today and will probably play it even more now...

I was actually falling out of the gaming scene for other hobbies, until Gears 3 was released and reeled me back in. It's brilliant, between the four different modes and all the achievements, ribbons, medals and levels you can play I find no one game ever seems alike. Truly a unique trilogy and the game play is so great with this third one I don't even crave a fourth (however a second season of DLCs would be sublime).
I agree with nice seeing the positive posts, I'm newer to the forums and I came to rejoice with the community not to commiserate. Was really surprised at first, I'm over 30 and I don't think some people realize just how insanely far games have come since the classics in the late 1980's/early 1990's. Thankful for Gears.

Yea it's a really good game that with a little more tweaking and improving could be great. I find myself always falling back to gears too, skyrim is the only contender.
