Getting the epic forum players interested in competitive play

Hey guys my is name elver Magana and I have been playing gears of war since emergence day gow 1 I have attended tournaments in all 3 games and would love to get all of you guys into the competitive scene by practicing running parties .... Learning strategies wether it is in ranked or private scrimmages with other players in the community... I was on the team primus but could not attend hype due to financial reasons...

Currently some of my great friends are attending the event and hold the 15th seed at this event... The top 17 seeds consist of some of the best teams in the world ... Message me on xbl and I would love to run games with you guys

I would be interested but I have to admit I am getting a little jaded about the fact that everybody who does this ends up ignoring most people who send messages/friend requests. So far I have replied to four separate people that offered this and didn't get a single response. Well, one responded to say he wouldn't be ready for three weeks.....why he didn't mention that in his OP is beyond me. And I sent the messages/requests right after they started their threads/posted in others so it wasn't because I was late to the party or anything.

Anyway, If you actually plan on following thru with this, I am on EST and will be on Live all day.

I'm definitely following through man like I mentioned my team is going to hype I enjoy competitive play no matter who it is and have always been a leader and a great teacher add me and message I'll gladly help and let others know!!

It gets hard to do these things when you have so many so I know its frustrating, but it happens. I have like 20 pending F/Rs and I don't accept them right away because nobody sends a message saying who they are so I dont know if they're a youtube subscriber, someone from forums, gamebattles matches, ect.

I understand what you mean but I did in fact send a message before any of my friend requests. All I ask is for a response of some sort. Like I said, it is great that they are offering to help but sometimes it is better to not offer at all if you aren't sure you will be able to follow up with it.

Anyway, Primus Trace responded today and we had some fun in TDM and KOTH, with the exception of the usual spongebob players rearing their ugly heads as always. Hopefully next time we can do some private scrims so I can practice some stuff. If we had a full team we probably would have done that much better.
