Thread only about inks!!

would anyone care to try to start a poll or something to get the ink stun either removed or atleast decrease the radius it stuns you.i say this because it takes no skill at all to just lob it in the general area of the enemy and just stroll up and body him thats not fair . if EPIC dont want to make the stun a direct hit only thing then decrease the radius please and thank you!

The stun is the only thing that makes the ink decent.
I will throw it straight at someone and it won't down them. At least I can get my kill if it stuns them.

Really the ink seems fine to me, People always seem to roll away before I can get them

Most times they get away.
I don't think it is a big deal.
I get annoyed more with those damned incendiaries.
I can't use them at all.

I like them. I prefer the ones from Gears 2 but these are fine too, IMO.

If they didn't stun they would be pretty useless.

Yeah i agree because the area of effect for the ink is so small compared to the ones in part 2. It will be like throwing half an ink if you will, and I'm guessing a lot of people don't hit their targets dead on with grenades.

I mean, who throws a grenade(maybe the incindary grenades) aiming at the person they are throwing them at trying to hit them directly with it?

Oh god... why the ink now... The reason you're most likely getting stunned from what seems like a long distance is because of lag and the server registering you as still being near where the ink landed. The range is fine. Sometimes I've had an ink thrown right behind me and I wasn't stunned.

Glad they added a stun. Maybe if they gave the ability for you to walk while stunned like with the smoke grenade. I see why they don't add it though.

Well by this logic I guess frags should be reduced to right under the feet. I mean this would be the only way to get skill out of them. At least in your book. How about we make shotguns that only kill if your right on top of people also. Oh wait....

I know so make them more like gears 2 keep the cool graphics but make the ink spread out more like the fire, so then of it hit you at least it will nearly down you and make for enter crowd control like in gears 2 the stun on ink and smoke is just gay, who in real life would get stunned by a ink or smoke you would just walk away maybe covered in ink and in pain but no one would stand still lol

What a smoke? The ink doesn't have a massive noise it just pops lol the smoke yeah but why stun? Just add a ringing noise into the game instead of a stun, stun was crap
In gears 2 everyone hated it n they took it out but then put it back in 3? I understand with ink but still think they should make inks like they was in 2 and remove all stuns.

I have a few things I'd like to mention about the Ink Grenade.

If you're right next to me with your shotgun and I throw the ink at my feet, it should stun us both. Not just me.
If I throw an Ink that explodes anywhere in close proximity to your body, it should be a "kill shot". You should not get away.
Range of damage needs to be the same as range of stun.
Your ink stun range should not exceed my inks stun range.
Just because you have spawn protection on, does not mean you shouldn't be stunned by my ink. Sometimes with the bad spawning system, I get trapped and I need my ink to escape. Too bad it doesn't work like that!

I love ink.especially in KOTH whenever I throw one in the ring and all my teammates go in for the kill.so yea to have just on3 stun grenade is cool.I will admit even if ur not by it u will stop.but tagging with them is super fun

I am assuming that you didn't play gears of war 2 because the ink were never used and were pretty worthless!

And if you use the ink wisely to get power weapons or help a team mate out it does take skill to use and you are exposed if you are hard aiming with them!

I hope that the ink stays the way they are! Just try to be more aware when the enemy team picks them up......Take note and be careful not just run in like rambo only to get hit in the face with an ink!

The ink one was a joke at GoW2 and most people won't even bother picking it up. Now its finally useful, also keep in mind that you only get 1 and not 2 like the others. I think its good as it is.

Ink grenade is fine. Pay attention to what is going on and you shouldn't be dying from them to the point you would think they need to be nerfed.

Yeah..it seems like half the ink that the ink grenade produces doesn't even hurt who you throw it at. It's rare I kill someone with one, the stun is pretty much all it's good for in this game, sadly. The Inks in Gears 2 were for more effective. As the entire cloud damaged you.
