View Full Version : Viewport glitches using the UDK Material Editor and DirectX 9

Hi,

When running the UDK Editor (October 2011) using DirectX 9, I have very annoying viewport glitches when using the Material Editor.

This makes it almost undoable to edit materials.

Turning of the Real Time Viewport solves it a bit but not fully.

Does anyone have similar problems and/or know how to solve this?

I'm using a laptop with a GeForce GT 555M

PS Running in DirectX 11 solves the problem, but I would like to be able to run in DirectX 9 mode as well.

Can you describe what the glitch actually is?

Glitches mean that when I move the network around (or even hover my mouse over it), or try to rotate my object in the Real Time Preview of the Material Editor. The preview and/or network quickly switches from window to window within the Material Editor but also the main editor, making it impossible to work.

Is that clear?

Update

The flickering occurs when the Real Time preview is turned on, being it the main editor and/or the Material Editor.
