Hello,

I wanted to show you our first game, SteroidS.

SteroidS focuses on humor and fun, and doesn’t take itself too seriously. The premise is simple: shoot the thugs with your steroids gun and get the higest score possible, but steroids make them faster so you have to move fast before you're overrun. It features 6 different game modes and 6 different arenas. There are also some "special enemies" that appear at random and are worth more points (these secret enemies include a monkey and a blue man).

The game also includes some easter eggs and references to games, movies and such.

It's available for $2.99 on Indievania

Here's a gameplay video:

Looking badass.. Ever since playing these types of games in the arcades of the 80's I've loved the gameplay.. It would be a great thing for the community if you were to do a post-mortem of this a month ro two after release gonig over how well the release went, what you did right and in retrospect what you would have done differently.

Either way, congrats on the launch

Thanks. We will definitely make a postmortem on the game. Maybe even a 2 part postmortem based on the first weeks of release and then on a later date based on how well the promotion goes.
Right now we're trying to promote it in any way we can, but with a lot of people (gamers and sites) not paying much attention to "new indie games" but rather "commercially proven indie games" and many gamers expecting skyrim-and-up level games it's somewhat difficult to get attention :/

Maybe Epic could help indies promote their games a little more (and if they do, who do I talk to?). After all, if the UDK indie games take off it's a win-win situation since those indie games are using their technology, and if they become commercially successful, they also get royalties.

Anyway, thanks for taking a look, and please share the link with everyone you know: http://www.thedomaginarium.com/steroids.html :D

Reminds me of a classic PS1 game called REloaded
