Actually I got out of TDM and started only in King, have to say I love it, went from about 1500 points match to over 8k, but seriously I just don't understand why people want it other than to be, not noob-ish just I don't get it.

wouldnt hate it so much if it actually shot no farther then melee range cuz apparently melee range is 10 feet cuz all gears are stretch armstrong

I started using the Gnash since the DLC a few days ago, but I do love the Lancer, so the Gnash you get 8 shots, good range, it's a balanced shotgun and good secondary weapon for me, but I don't understand what the draw of the SoS is, like 30 sec.s to reload and just 1 shot, plus you gotta get so close you could dry hump your opponent.

I get the,"You mad bro?" reason to get it, but I don't understand why it's still chose as a primary weapon, so besides the trolling why do people use it, I just keep thinking what the appeal of it is.

This was addressed by lee perry himself that it was never meant to be melee range and that he himself worded it incorrectly.

you guys are crazy man. the sawed off is a sweet weapon and i welcome it big time. both the sawed off and retro have added loads to the franchise and there is always ALPHA for those who don't like it.

i loved gears since the 1st one came out and have honed by gnasher skills through some tough times - if anyone remembers how broken the shotty was when gears 2 came out you'll know what i've been through. if you shot from the hip the bullets would hit the floor instead of going forward, then we had the lag etc... so really here is my point:

if these people that are coming at you and killing you with sawed offs are noobs... then what are you?

if you have gnasher skills you will gun them down and keep your distance.
if you are feeling frisky you'll perfect the sawed off and beat them to the punch.
if you can't be bothered with it you'll choose alpha
if you're a pro you won't be complaining about all these easy kills that are running towards your meaty gnasher

Awesome post. Seriously though, if you hate the sawed-off just play alpha. It only appears on certain maps as a pick up there and most people don't bother with it.

WHAM!!!! This post hit it right out of the ballpark.

Great post, fellow Gearhead. It's pretty much straight to the point. My Gnasher game has no problem handling SOS users (even the ones who seem to know how to wallbounce effectively).

Come play with us on the Alpha Playlist then. The SOS is pretty much a non-issue there.

For the record, I am still going to play on the Standard Playlists more frequently because I love the variety when pitting my Gnasher/Lancer skills against all of the other weapons.
