View Full Version : Damage Reduction Bug! (Someone Please Record)

I noticed this while playing with randoms on Drydock. Later, I recreated the scenario in a Private Match with a guest, and the same thing happened. I'll explain it using this diagram:

Player X (this was me) is as far to the right on the cover as he can go, and he is looking over his RIGHT shoulder. I had a Hammerburst.

Player Y is on the very edge of that cover, and half of his body is visible to Player X.

I was Player X. I had a Hammerburst. In this position, it takes exactly 22 Hammerburst shots to down Player Y, no matter which part of his body you shoot (head, body, arm, etc). Please note that I recreated this in a Private Match, and it happened this way again. Also keep in mind that it typically takes 6-8 Hammerburst shots to down someone.

Why does it take 22 shots to down them in this position? Is the damage done by bullets decreased to crap when someone is on cover? Does this occur ONLY in this specific position? WTF? Someone please recreate this, and take a video.

I've noticed this on other maps as well. Is there a damage resistance while in cover? It doesn't seem to apply to all pieces of cover though.

You do take less damage from particular directions when you are in cover.

I never knew that, always thought my connection was playing up.

I am curious what does RAAM in noodles look like?

Thanks! That's kind of weird, though, because I could still see most of his body =\
It's gonna drive me crazy now, knowing that when I'm shooting someone on cover, he's probably not taking as much damage as usual =(
