Free Modular Building Assets

[Sneaky_Ferret]

I was sitting around the other day experimenting with various ways to break up a building for the sake of making it modular. And this small set is what I ended up with. I figured Id post it for all to use, please keep in mind this set was something I only kept working on until I got bored with it. It may have a few kinks here and there, it was mostly made for the sake of practicing modularity and properly hiding seams.

Either way I figure somone might get a little use out of them. Feel free to use them for whatever you want if you like.

Also if anyone can think of a better way to split up modular building pieces I'm welcome to getting advice.

looks good man. i have a quick questions, Im a 3d modeler too, and the buildings i make are full mesh buildings, how easy it is to learn and make modular meshes? i tired before and it did no go too well. have any tips or tutorials you can show :)

The files got deleted. I'm currently working on a new very much improved set of modular meshes which I will be releasing within the week. The new set will have more pieces, a better selection of corner pieces, It will have multiple textures assigned to it rather than using a single texture atlas, this will allow you to mix and match different brick/concrete/window textures in order to get more variety. It also shines shoes and cures all diseases known to dolphins. So keep an eye out for it over the next few days. Ill also take suggestions on pieces to add to the set if you provide an image of it and If I feel it fits well with the pieces I'm already working on.

Hey Sneaky_Ferret

I really like the work you've done on these buildings however when I import it into UDK, none of the textures get loaded (I start by loading up UDK, importing the UPK package and then opening the UDK file).

Can you give me any pointers as to what I may be doing wrong please?
