Ahoy there
I found some other threads related to this topic, but none of them were particularly helpful or conclusive.
I'm making a high altitude mountain range environment with a skyward-sword-esque cloud layer that I made with some large particle emitters. Problem is, I'm implementing a Day-Night cycle with matinee and I can't figure out how to effectively change the color of the particles. I've scoured the internet and tried a few different things, the closest I came was changing my 'color over life' module in cascade to use a parameter that i controlled in kismet, but it's too imprecise (I have to set delays to time it with the day cycle) and the effect is way too sudden. I did some research and it seems that I should be able to use a Dynamic Particle Parameter expression in the material to create parameters I can reference in matinee, but when I've connected it all up the "parameter name" read-onlys in the 'dynamic' module just says "none," even though I've named them in the material editor.
Has anyone else encountered this problem? Is there something I'm missing? Or can anyone think of a good workaround (though I've already tried many to no avail)?
Any help would be very appreciated :)
