I just got downed by a sawn-off

The Sawed Off usually goes straight through meatshields, so you were probably at melee range or something.

1. No it doesn't. I pick up the meat-shield specifically to not die from the SO, since they just waste my meat-shield and I live; always happens. Doesn't really make sense, since the DBS can gib multiple enemies, but for some reason I never die whilst holding a meat-shield.

2. I thought Epic fixed it, so the DBS didn't down people at zero damage anymore?

Were you by any chance, the leader in CTL? Personally, I ALWAYS get gibbed through meatshields to the DBS. I thought that was just what happened...

No, I wasn't the leader (It was TDM) and I didn't get gibbed. I got downed.
