View Full Version : How I get an interpactor to rotate in place?

I want to have a windmill in my amazing game. I want the wind turbine to spin/rotate in place. I've been trying to rotate it but it ends up going around the windmill - too far and too high then too low. Basically I need it to spin but to look glued onto the windmill not magically spinning in the air around it. How do I rotate it while it being stuck onto the windmill?

If it is a separate mesh, make sure the origin axis is at the place where it should spin. Then set it's movement physics to PHYS_Rotating and set the rotation rate in the actor's properties.

How would this be achieved through script if the actor was spawned during run-time and the class that spawned extends from Actor.uc?
defaultproperties or a function in the extended custom class?
EDIT: solved by adding the following to the default properties (my syntax was off on previous attempts):
RotationRate=(Yaw='any number here')
