Kilo Squad. Fanfic

[Soul]

"Sir!" Corporal Wallace says abruptly as he quickly snaps to attention and salutes First Lieutenant Jackson.
"Yes Corporal?" Jackson asks as he looks up at Wallace from some blueprints layed out ontop a steel table.
"Kilo Squad has arrived and are awaiting your orders, sir." Wallace states quickly.
"Good, your dismissed" Jackson says as he stands and begins walking toward the awaiting squad.
"Yes Sir!" Corporal Wallace replies, letting down his salute and walking away.

"So, what is the reason they called us here?" asks Specialist Harrison while checking his lancer's sights and ammunition.
"Don't know, but Lieutenant Jackson said its an urgent matter that requires our skill in tactical maneuvering and stealth" replies Sergeant Cross as he lights a cigarette and takes a quick puff.
"Well, whatever it is, we can handle it" Private Sanchez exclaimed with a proud tone in his voice.

The squad snaps to attention quickly as Lt. Jackson walks up to them. Sergeant Cross quickly shouts "Kilo Squad reporting for duty, SIR!", "At ease men" Jackson says calmly, "Where is Private Crawford?" Jackson asks. "He is performing a 'special task' for General Walters, something about demolishing an uncharted base in the desert, sir."
"Alright, this mission wont require his skill, I have called you men over here because your tactical and swift and silent entering and departing abilities have become very reliable, follow me for your briefing."

Lt. Jackson leads the squad to the steel table with the blueprints layed on it and tells them their mission clearly "Your mission is to sneak into this military weapons and supplies warehouse, inside there are three unknown people who have killed off the soldiers guarding the warehouse and taken over, they seem to not be wanting to give up without a fight, and are threatening to activate the explosives located inside, so this is where you come in" Lt. Jackson points to a secret entrance on the blueprint "You are going to enter this secret entrance into the warehouse, and try to eliminate the enemy threat without causing them to detonate the explosives, IF they do detonate the explosives, the explosion can become disastrous and eliminate this whole city" he explains.
"If the explosives are so powerful, why have them inside the warehouse sir?" Private Sanchez asks curiously.
"This was the most secure location to store them at the time, as war was breaking out and we didn't want the enemy forces to use them against us." explains Jackson, "so we stored them here and haven't moved them since, but apparently this location isnt secure anymore as an enemy threat has taken over the warehouse, can you boys perform this mission without causing a holocaust of the city?"
"It should be a piece of cake sir." Specialist Harrison says with a smirk on his face.
"All right, move out ASAP, your dismissed." Jackson says quickly.

After preparing their weapons for battle the squad move out and open the door to the secret entrance which happens to be a well lit underground tunnel about one kilometer long. "Sanchez, stay here and watch this tunnel, if anyone comes down here from inside the warehouse, kill them on sight" Cross orders, "Yes Sir." Sanchez answers, As Cross and Harrison get inside the tunnel. After walking about five-hundred meters Harrison curiously asks "Why did they build this tunnel anyway? Did they expect something such as this to happen?", "More than likely, they usually build these secret tunnels to escape any threat inside the facility or send in a special unit, such as us, to eliminate a threat" Cross answers.

After reaching the entrance inside the warehouse, Cross and Harrison get silent and take quick cover. Cross motions Harrison to move inside a room and eliminate any threats inside, Harrison nods and silently moves inside the room carefully. Cross slowly walks onto a catwalk in the main room of the warehouse and spots a terrorist in military armor performing a patrol route. Slowly sneaking up on the person Cross positions his hand to the knife in a sheath attached to his lower leg, slowly creeping he accidentally steps on some shards of glass causing the person to turn quickly around and spot Cross, but before he could make out a word the knife from Cross's sheath was quickly removed and cut through the throat of the person, causing a satisfying, yet quiet, gurgling noise come from the victim as blood shoots out of his throat.

Harrison, hiding behind a box spots one of the terrorists still arming one of the bombs and moves to another cover position to get a better view of what is taking place, the terrorist arming the bomb is the only person in the room and is talking to himself loudly, "Him talking to himself will probably cause an easier sneak attack, but to be sure.." Harrison thinks as he slings his Lancer and readies his Snub pistol and aims it at the terrorist while quietly moving toward him. "Man, this bomb is so cool, wish I knew how to make something like this, I mean, look at all this technology all packed in one, small package, I might know how to arm one, but I dont know SQUAT about the way bombs work or how they are ma--" the terrorist's rambling is ended as Harrison places his hand over the terrorist's mouth and forces a knife into his chest.

Suprisingly the last terrorist hears the rambling go quiet and sees Harrison. "Enemy! Activate the bombs and ---" the terrorists shouting is cut short by a strange silhouette pouncing on him and ripping him to pieces....

Thats Part 1, didn't mean to make it so long, tell me what you think.

Part 2

As the strange silhouette is tearing the terrorist apart, Harrison slowly unslings his lancer, aiming his lancer at what is taking place he slowly reaches for his squad radio, activates it and whispers "We have a something very strange going on over here, I have no clue what in the world is killing this terrorist but It doesn't look friendly, might need backup.","Roger that, moving my way over to your current position, hold tight and stay behind cover till I arrive." the sound of Cross's voice is heard over the radio.

Cross, slowly making his way over to Harrison notices some holes in the ground, reminding him of Sanchez's whereabouts. Cross quickly pulls up his radio and whispers "Sanchez, is there anything strange happening out there?", there's no answer, "Sanchez, is everything alright?", still no answer..

Cross sneaks up behind cover with Harrison and whispers "I'm here, where's this 'strange creature'?", "Over there" Harrison points in the general direction of the scene taking place. Cross looks up out of the cover, spots the strange creature and gets behind cover again "What the heck is that?" he says excitedly "I don't know, but It took that terrorist down in one quick move" Harrison responds.

"Alright, well, lets take this thing down before it gets loose and attacks the city" Cross explains.
"Good Idea, give me the word and we can do this" Harrison agrees.
"NOW!" Cross hops over the cover firing his lancer and moving foward while Harrison stands from behind cover and fires his lancer at the creature.

The creature lets out a shrill scream as it is pounded with heavy gunfire from the squads weapons and collapses.
The squad stops firing and Cross moves up and examines the creature's pale scaley skin, its huge needle tipped fangs, and glowing yellow eyes.
"I have never seen anything like this in my years as a soldier" Cross's eyes shine as he continues examining the creature.
"I wonder where it came from" Harrison asks curiously, looking around the warehouse for any entry points other than the doors and secret entrance.
"I saw holes in the ground as I was moving my way here, I think it might have come from underground" Cross states.
"Underground? If it came from underground, there might be more of them and they could have been down there as long as we have been alive!" Harrison says really suprised.
"Hmm, lets go show this thing to command outside" Cross suggests.
"Good Idea, maybe they could analyze this thing further and give us some answers" Harrison agrees.

After carrying the heavy creature through the warehouse, they open the main door and notice something they cannot possibly believe, the whole command post is in ruins! Cross drops the creature and runs to the camp, followed by Harrison, they find everything is ruined, fires strewn everywhere, bodies scattered all over the place and vehicles destroyed.

"How could this have happened?" Harrison asks with a sad tone.
"I... I don't know, the whole command post, destroyed, Corporal Wallace, Lieutenant Jackson, dead... But wait! Where is Sanchez?" Cross says slowly.
They begin searching the camp for any sign of Private Sanchez, and after thirty minutes of searching Harrison yells out "Cross! Over here! I found him!", Cross runs hurriedly over to Harrisons position and finds the corpse of Sanchez, battered and bruised, limbs torn apart, and his stomache gashed open, letting out his innards allover the ground.

Cross sighs heavily "and he had just joined the force a month ago, those creatures didnt show any sign of mercy, I just hope he died quickly so he didn't feel it all"
"He was a good soldier, but we need to focus on what has happened, we need to stop these creatures before they cause this all over Sera!" Harrison exclaims.
"Your right, lets find a vehicle and see if we can find more people that have survived" Cross suggests.

They find an armored jeep, Harrison takes driver seat and Cross takes passenger and they take off, driving throughout the city looking at the carnage of ruined buildings, dead men, women, and children everywhere, blood allover the road, what used to be central park, now resembles a deserted wasteland.

"Crap, they didn't hold back did they?" Harrison says discouraged.
"I guess they didn't, I'm going to check the radio for any survivors" Cross reaches over and turns on the radio, finds a decend reception and talks into the mic "This is Kilo Squad, is anyone out there still alive? Respond" there is a long pause followed by "This is Tango Squad, we have been pinned down in the civic center, they outnumber us about ten to one! Seeking assistance as soon as possible, I dont know how long we can suppress the Locust Horde but wont be long before they -- AAH-" the transmission is cut short by an explosion along with blood curdling screams from Tango Squad.

"Should we go get them?" Harrison asks
"No, they are dead no matter what happens now, nothing can stop it, but it seems they are calling these creatures the 'Locust Horde'" Cross explains.
"Seems that way" Harrison replies.

Suddenly the back of the jeep is smashed in by a giant fist, stopping the jeep instantly, Cross looks up at what caused this, its a huge beast, with weapons attached to its arms and back, face covered by a mask, and big, yellow, glowing eyes, Cross yells out "Get out of the jeep, NOW!" as the huge creature's other fist begins plummeting towards the jeep.

Thats part 2, will continue as I get criticism.

Part 3

The creatures other fist pounds the jeep with a thunderous crash just as soon as Cross and Harrison dive out of the vehicle. Cross runs into a ruined building, running up some flights of stairs he spots Harrison out in the open, trying to evade the massive beast and find some cover.

Cross had to think fast, he slowly backed up to the wall, took a deep breath, and sprinted across the what used to be an office building and leaped out of a window, flying through the air catching hold of the beast on a strap that connected the cannon on its back to its body, he began climbing quickly.

Luckily, the creature didnt notice Cross and kept pursuing Harrison, who was still trying to find cover that the creature couldnt reach him at. Cross, reaching the top of the strap and onto the creatures back, reved his chainsaw and began sawing into the creature's straps, trying to remove the cannons from its back and arms.

The creature noticed the sound of a chainsaw starting up and felt Cross sawing. The massive beast quickly began trying to shake Cross off as Harrison escaped the creature and found cover in the basement of what used to be an apartment complex. Cross was clinging onto the creature as much as he could, still sawing the straps off the creature as the creature shook violently.

Harrison saw what was taking place and knew Cross couldn't hold on forever, thinking of a plan, he moved out into the open again. Staring at the massive beast and looking at his surroundings he found a gigantic pillar, about the size of the beast and still standing. Harrison quickly moves to the pillar and revs his chainsaw up, attempting to saw into the pillar, but to no avail, it was too hard for the saw and if Harrison tried any further he would break his chainsaw bayonette and possibly destroy his lancer.

Cross managed to saw the strap in half, causing one cannon to fall to the ground with a loud boom, but the other cannons on the creatures arms were still attached, he saw the straps holding those cannons and began working his way over to them.

The creature saw Cross moving and used its left arm to try and sweep him off, but Cross stayed firm and kept moving to his goal.

Harrison remembered he had some explosives in the jeep, so he sprinted with his head down toward the jeep, trying to stay down so the creature didnt notice him. He reached the jeep after dodging the creature's footsteps and the debris it was letting fly. Searching the jeep he found five C4 explosives and a detonator, he grinned and began sprinting back to the pillar.

Cross began sawing into the strap on the creatures right arm and managed to get halfway when he heard Harrison yell out "Drive the creature over here! Quickly!". Cross looked up and saw Harrison's plan, and began climbing down to the creatures legs.

Harrison had the explosives in place, detonator in hand, all he needed was the creature to walk into the specific area and he could bring it down. Cross managed to reach the legs and began sawing into the creature, blood spraying everywhere and the creature howling, but moving foward toward Harrison's trap, Cross stopped sawing and leapt off the creature, landing onto the street and sliding, his armor making a screeching noise, as he came to a stop he sprung up quickly, to watch what was going to happen.

Harrison saw Cross jump off and activated the detonator, getting down and yelling "GET DOWN!" the bottom of the pillar exploded and the top fell. The creature, not having time to react, was crushed by the pillar with a high pitched scream and a loud boom, shaking the earth.

Cross and Harrison walk up the creature, examining it slowly. "So what are we calling this thing?" Harrison asks, "a Brumak according to this tag" Cross holds up a leather tag labeled 'Brumak', "If there are creatures this huge, then there could be bigger stronger ones, or more of these" Harrison says in wonderment, "There more than likely is, why breed only one killer when you can breed hundreds, or maybe even millions" Cross states clearly.
"Well, we have no means of transportation now, whats your call sir?" Harrison asks.
"I say we move on throughout the city, and we need to see if Crawford is still alive" Cross suggests.
"Alright, lets go then" Harrison replies.

Suddenly they hear an explosion and take cover. From where the explosion occured is a wave of Locust comming from the underground, searching for things to kill and moving through the area slowly partoling.

"Crap, what are we going to do now?" Harrison asks.
"Theres a military outpost three miles due west from here, we can get some reinforcements, restock on supplies, come back and wipe out the horde" Cross explains.
"Good choice, right behind you sir." Harrison replies.

Cross and Harrison leave their cover and sprint quickly and silently, going westward and trying to stay out of sight of the Locusts...

Part 4

Cross and Harrison sigh in relief upon reaching the military outpost and seeing it still in tact. "Finally, some other humans" Harrison says gleefully. "Yes, good thing. Lets get some reinforcements, ask what is going on, and obtain more weapons and suplies" Cross explains.

Upon arriving at the outpost, a soldier runs to them quickly "Sirs! General Walters has been waiting for you in tent number C-3!" the soldier says while standing to attention and saluting them. "As you were, soldier" Cross orders, "Yes sir, thank you sir." The soldier lets down his salute and runs off to a medical tent where bone chilling screams of pain and moaning are comming from, "Great, another mission? We just got here." Harrison complains. "Don't worry, he probably just wants us to report in." Cross says reassuringly.

"Ah! Glad you two survived, wheres Private Sanchez?" General Walters asks.
"Brought down by those creatures, sir" Cross explains.
"Ah, I see, well, I have some good news and some bad news" Walters explains.
"Bad news first, sir" Cross suggests.
"Well, the bad news is, we have no clue where Crawford is, his whole operation was ruined by the locust, we DO know that he is alive, we just dont know where he is, and we cannot contact him." Walters explains.
"How do you know he's alive under those kind of conditions, sir?" Harrison asks.
"Well, about ten minutes ago, he reported in, it was his last report, but he said he was in hiding, and the locusts probably wouldn't find him in his location, so he has set up camp, it is somewhere inbetween here and the uncharted base, when we tried to contact him again, his radio battery died out." Walters explains.
"Now the good news, you are both being promoted four ranks, the soldiers that held those positions have died, they were members of Tango Squad, and were brought down by a massive attack by the locust." Walters says with a dissapointed tone.
"Sergeant Cross, you are now known as Sergeant Major Cross, Specialist Harrison, you are now known as Sergeant First Class Harrison, Congratulations to both of you." Walters ends the promotion with a handshake and salute to both men.
"Thank you, sir!" Harrison and Cross say in unison and salute General Walters.
"When your ready, goto the survivors and take them to rescue Crawford, he's one of the only demolitions experts we have left, Tango, Zulu, Romeo, and Charlie squads demolition experts have all died, the survivors were gearing for your arrival as you came here, they will be more than likely ready for the worst, good luck to you men." Walters explains
"Sir, I have on question, what is going on with this locust horde? How did they get here?" Harrison asks.
"We do not know, but we do know they have been down there for a while, and do not like the light, they have been taking some imulsion plants over without damaging them, that might prove as some usefull information in the future, but for now, we need Crawford, dissmissed." Walters explains.
Both men snap to attention and shout "Yes Sir!" , perform an about-face, and walk out of the tent.

Cross and Harrison walk into the armory and spot about twenty men, all battle ready and look like they have gone through hell.
one soldier quickly see's them and yells out "ATEN-HUT"

"As you were" Cross orders, causing all of the soldiers go back to what they were doing.
Cross and Harrison walk over to an ammunition supply and begin to fill their weapons, along with filling their ammunition packs with extra ammunition. They slowly move from the ammunition supply to the weapons racks, Cross grabs a Shotgun, and Harrison grabs the bolt action "Boom Shot" sniper rifle.
After preparing, Cross quickly yells out "ATEN-HUT", causing everyone to snap to attention.

"We are going perform a rescue mission, our fellow soldier is pinned into his encampment, and needs to be brought back to this outpost, we do not know his exact location, but we are going to find him one way or another. For any of you who do not know, I am Sergeant Major Cross, and this is Sergeant First Class Harrison, you will be taking orders from both of us, anyone that refuses to will be shot, and I guaruntee you will not walk away from it, Is that understood?" Cross shouts.
"YES SIR!" Everyone shouts in unison.
"Alright, there is transportation outside, lets move out." Cross orders.
Everyone exits the tent and hops into giant transport vehicles that have nine seats, a turret on top, and one seat facing out of a small hole in the back for when they are being tailed by the locust horde.
Harrison jumps into the first transport vehicle and Cross jumps into the second transportation vehicle, both ready to give orders when ready, both transports have a soldier with a boomshot assigned to the 'cover the rear' seat, and a support specialist for the turrent's.

The vehicles take off once the hatches are closed and everyone is positioned.

Theres Part 4, no action, just dialogue, will continue as I get criticism, yes i know this one is shorter than the others ;)
