View Full Version : No unlocks for getting "Domination" and "Don't Hate the Player".

So, a friend and I decided to jump on Gears 1 on Insane and play some Versus, in the process I got Domination and we both got Don't Hate the Player. We were both connected to live and playing online, and we jumped on Gears 3 a little while after, and didn't receive the unlocks for the Chrome Lancer and Chrome Retro Lancer for either completing both achievements. This worries me. Can you only get the unlocks if you have done the achievements before Gears of War 3 released? Or do we have to wait a little bit? This bothers me.

you have to wait a while, the games scans daily so in about 24 hours they should unlock, i just dont know if that means you have to NOT play for that long......i'd hope not...but yeah, i've seen other posts about this and stuff so i figured i'd help you out.

hey man i had already played gears one long before three and had unlocked 'Domination'... when i went online with three a day after it came out and it did not unlock the gun skin for me, then my account froze so i have not been able too re-check up on an up date for this problem...

Wait untill november 1st, it should unlock then.

If you have a stamp (time/date) it will unlock when the 24 timer rolls for the check on start-up. If you do not have a stamp (says. "Acquired") then you have to wait for the TU2.

That's the answer.

yeah i have the same problem, got gears 1 & 2 just a week before 3 got every achievement i could offline and stuff...apparantly the "domination" one needs a time stamp, but it'll be fixed in the next title update...which i hope comes out soon....that really sucks about your account freezing man, i've actually been reading on here that A LOT of people are having that problem. It hasn't happened to me (yet, and i hope it doesnt) they're doing what they can to fix it i guess but no updates about it or anything like that....hope that helps any...
