Ties in blood. A fanfic.

Michael began his long walk down the abondoned streets of this once populated city. As Shift and Hawk, the jokers of the 4 man squad, cracked a joke several feet behind Michael he heard the shuffle of feet and a familiar voice. His brother Jack managed to find a way next to Michael without disturbing his viewing of the surrounding structures then waited a long moment before speaking. "You know Mike, we've done this patrol dozens of times and haven't seen or heard anything indicating the Locust even sniffed in this direction, give it a rest." Said Jack. Michael looked over at his brother for a brief moment before returning to surveying the area. Jack, the one thing Michael had done right in this war. On Emergence Day, Michael was on leave in Serra city following a misfire of a prototype grenade he had been forced to "volunteer" for. Michael wife, Jade, had been in the house when a bomb hit the building, he hoped she died quickly. Michael had been walking with his son in his favorite park, when his son suddenly fell to the ground. Michael rushed franticly to his sons side and held him as he noticed the hole in his sons chest. Even in death his son had managed to give him a warning to the events that would transpire that day. He drew his standard military issue sidearm he kept with him at all times and ran for a back alley. upon seeing the whole sniper squad decending on his location. he drew back with just enough room to sneak a peek at his sons killers one last time. he eyes fixed on the white skull on there chestplate. He rushed home to find the building on fire. He fell on his knees and began to cry. Spying a group of three Locusts he recklessly charged at them, firing as he went. he dropped one Locust with a shot to the head and managed to injure another buy shooting him in the leg. Michael took a bullet in the chest but continued to run on the adrenaline from fear of death and the anger of the ones he lost. throwing down his pistol, he had emtyed the clip, he skide at the remaining healthy Locust, taking his feet out from under him. A struggle over the Locuts' gun ensued but Michael managed to wrestle the gun from his hands and plant a bullet in his head. Michael instantly remembered the Locust with the injured leg as a sharp pain made him roll in agony. the Locust stood over him in shadowey, brooding way. The Locust started his chainsaw and slowly lowered it to Michaels face. Just as Michael thought he was done, the locust was cut down by gunfire. Michael saw a few relief soldiers in a jeep, peppering the Locust horde with turret fire. The driver of the jeep was caught in the chest by Machine Gun fire. Michael instantly threw the ead soldier from the drivers seat and drove towards Jack's house. Upon arriving he saw Jack hunkered down behind a car with his hands on his head with a dozen Locust firing in his direction. The gunner quickly cut down the Locust easily as Jack scrambled on all fours for the jeep. Jack was about to speak when a meassage came across the the jeeps radio. They were going to destroy the city.....

His memory was cut short as Hawk was caught in the neck by a sniper rifle. The rest of the squad hunkered down behind the debrees of a fallen building, hoping they weren't still vanerable to the Locusts sniper fire. From the snarls Michael could tell thet were eight of them. Michael managed to find a spot he could safely view the building the Locust were in, and as Hawk was dying and shaking on the ground. michael coulden't take his eye of the white skull on one of the snipers chestplate....

I'll make it easier to read next time, its only part one, i thought the skull on the chestplate made the ending more intresting.

It was them, the snipers with the white skulls on thier chests, they had killed his son. Now here he was, with one squad member dead, his brother having never fired a weapon before, and Shift pinned down behind a piece of rubble. Michael uses a hand signal for Jack to run to him, but Jack is frozen solid with fear. Michael opened his mouth to yell but realized he had come to far from the building he used for cover when a sniper bullet whizzed pass his head and shatterd a window next to him. Jack used the distraction as cover and sprinted towards Michaels cover when a sniper bullet caught him in the hip. Jack was thrown with such force that it carried him behind the cover Michael was using. Michael ran to Jacks side and knelt next to him surveying the damage. Jack was on the ground screaming in agony as Michael smiled. "I'm gonna die oh my god! I cant live! I see the light!" Jack yells in agony. Michael smacks his broother in the face and yells" It hit your pistol in the grip, the bullet never touched you!" Jack gets up embarassed as he and Michael try to figure out a way to defeat the snipers whe Jack has an idea "We can call in an air-strike." Michael looks at him "One, were stil here so we'd be blowing ourselves up. Two, no heavy ordinance allowed inside the city. Three, Shift has the radio." Shift tosses a smoke grenade and waits for it to take effect before throwing the radio to Michael. As Shift runs towards the cover under the cover of smoke a beeping arrow hits him in the chest. Shift tries to pull it from himself but ultimately fails. Knowing hes going to die, he charges towards the building with the snipers as the arrow detonates. Michael calls in a Thermo read from above using a satellite. Using there body heat as a indicater he saw that Shifts suicide bomb mnuever had killed 4 of them. 2 against 4 wasn't bad, he'd seen worse, but he'd seen better to. Wall moving around the outside of the building, they managed to get a flanking position in a courtyard behind the building. Because there were no windows in the back of the building, the 4 remaining Locust charged into the courtyard firing as they went. Jack hunkered down behind a broken car as Michael managed to hit one Locust in the throat before taking cover himself. Jack showed he wasn't as green as Michael thought by vaulting over his cover and sliding in to waist high cover with a Locust on the other side. Jack drew his shotgun and pressed it against the wall and fired. The shotgun blast went through the thin piece of stone and punched a whole the size of Michaels fist in the Locusts chest. A huge piece of debris from the cover flew up and hit Jack in the face, knocking him unconscious. Upon seeing this, Michael ran towards Jack, but was caught in the leg by a bulleet which sent him rolling uncontrolable towards Jack. Lucky for him, A Locust had run out of ammo and started to run towards Michael and Jack. The Locust Grabbed Michael by the throat with two hands and raised him off the ground. But that proved little trouble for Michael when he started the motor on his chainsaw and ripped the Locuts arms off. the Locust howled in pain as Michael dug his chainsaw in to its head. Michael pried the lifeless, amputated hands from his throat. He heard Jack scream and turned to see the last Locust, the one with the white skull on his chestplate, using Jack as a human shield and holding a pistop in his direction. Michael dropped his gun in a attempt at surrender but was reminded that the Locust knew noyhing of surrender as he was shot in the chest. Michael smiled as Jack managed to shove a grenade down the creatures throat, but was unable to activate it. Waiting for Jack to get away from the Locust, Michael used his thermal goggles to detect the grenade inside the Locust's stomach, then planted a bullet there. The Locust got blood all over Jack and Michael. But Jack had earned his ties to the squad that day, ties in blood.

keep going the story is sweet as has been said and it just amplifies the sensations I have to own this game. If the game play and gun battles are as intense as you have depicted in your story GOW is without a doubt going to be the bench mark of next gen gaming and the total dominance of 360
