I started using it a week ago following the advice of this video (around 2:38): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QpfQu0IN71Y (it's pretty funny, give it a watch).

It still feels kinda clunky, but it's very nice not to roll over meatshields you want to pick up.

For those who don't know the scheme, it basically divides running/rolling and cover to two buttons (X and A respectively) instead of just A.
Then the original X key (interact with stuff) is placed on Y, and the original Y key (watch stuff) is placed on clicking RS (together with zooming, like default).

So, if use it, why, and if not, why not?

I use it, and adapted to using it suprisingly quickly. I find it makes wall bouncing much easier because now I don't have to worry
about being too far away from cover and rolling, which often resulted in a free kill for the enemy. I only wish I had known about
it sooner.

I see no real disadvantages to it, although it cost me a few kills at first when I failed to execute people swiftly because I pressed
the wrong button to do so. It now feels almost as natural as the original layout did to me.

Well that's reasuring. I was beginning to fear that the alternative control scheme would be worse and that I would have to adapt to the default scheme all over again :V .

I wish the X and A buttons would be reversed. It would make A LOT more sense that way.

I use it, and love it. Its nice not getting stuck on walls while trying to evade.
