Yeah because you can level up events. LOL (Why do people laugh aloud to everything?)
The requirement is to play in 5 gears events, there was a glitch that counted every game as an event. It is now fixed, but some people may have gotten the Gear from that.

Okay. So, I'm right? We "Normies" have to wait until october to get 2/5 events out of the way!

Some people got the Golden Gear because like the previous post says, at the beginning each game was counting towards an event (for the Golden Wings Event) instead of just one. It was corrected and now one game per event counts towards the medal. The next event where you can earn a game towards the "War Supporter" medal is in October. See the Event Caldendar in game. :)

I've seen people play as him, can't be possible to unlock him though, because there haven't been enought special events.

Did you not read the other posts in this thread?

When the "Golden Wings Week" event first went live on launch day, every game played was counting as a different event. As a result, depending on the number of games played, you could unlock all the way to the Onyx medal (play in 30 events) for War Supporter and get the Socialite achievement.

It was not any of the players' fault, it was simply an issue with the way the medal worked. It has been changed and now only one game per event counts towards the medal.

There must have been another glitch, because I unlocked him 3 days after release, I think I only played like one game on release day since I was busy with campaign.

But how the hell am i supposed to play five events? in this week we got 33% off in any purchase but still i just got the golden wings thing, so i only have 1 event but i already participated in 2. Some of my friends who played since the very first day of the release only have 1 event, the glitch didn't work for them which is unfair i some twisted way.
