Why when I'm shooting the pistol, does it skip beats? Is that purposely suppose to be a cap, saying you can't shoot it that fast, or is it a bug? Because it's really annoying.

My guess is the cap. Its annoying as hell, but nothing we can do about it. Thanks epic for the bugs. We love em so much! <3

Yes, there is a cap on the rate of fire, and the refire rate isn't 100% consistence (you will get "hiccups" every couple of rounds).

Yes! That's a perfect example for what I'm trying to explain. Why the **** does that happen? It's so annoying, is it because I'm shooting too fast?

No, it's an intentional design aspect of the weapon.

It only takes 10 rounds to down someone with a Snub pistol, so if the rate of fire were uncapped then it could out-damage all three starting rifles.

It's exactly what it's supposed to be, a sidearm. You only use it when you have no other choice.

I think its lag. Because it doesn't happen often. Sometimes ill shoot as fast as I can, other times it'll just skip shots. So I doubt its a cap. I could be wrong.

It's not consistent though, when I shoot it as fast as I can, sometimes it works, and then sometimes it does the hiccup thing.

Noise is right. It's a lag thing. Same thing happened in gears 2. If you were host it would fire super fast, but if you were not it would lag, and depending on the amount of lag it affected how fast you could shoot your pistol. I used to start a round wiht shooting a pistol as fast as I could to get a gauge on the lag, and then by that determine how the gnasher could be used.

We're seeing lag because the servers are not keeping up. We apparently need to buy more weapon skins. :rolleyes:
