I can answer part of number 4. Adam was kept alive by the locust, they wanted to keep him alive to finish his research. No one else on the island mattered to them. As for the rest, your guess is as good as mine.

I think #2, Adam thought that the humans and locust could coexist peacefully on the planet as long as the humans stayed on the surface and the locust stayed underground, so basically he thought there was a way to avoid a huge, unnecessary war.

1. She is a human. She is the queen because she created them.
2. Details about the Locust, I'd say.
3. Because they weren't violent, they just had no other option.
4. Because Prescott was a douchebag and Adam was needed by the queen to prevent the Lambent.

1.She was always a locust, confirmed before 20 B.E she asked adam to stop the lambent, (ruth?)
2. Things adam wanted to do to stop the lambent but keep the locust alive, but he did what he had to do.
3. In all fairness, they have just as much rights to live as humans did, they have been down their since the beginning of time and only waged war to surive. (Like on OG Journey to the center of earth)
4. To hide from the war so they could live a peaceful life, and Adam was the only one queen myrahh needed to live to stop the lambent.

It is the most likely theory.

Support for the theory:
- Original experiments called "children", queen calls them "my children"
- The experiments occurred a long time ago, and were taken down into the mountains, deep underground
- The queen knew Adam, and both being scientists would complete that connection
- The queen looks human, ergo she is human

- The queen looks human, ergo she is humanI do think her being human is true, but I'm just not going to go with it fully until we find out, if we ever do. I think she could be Doctor Helen Cooper though, although she certainly doesn't look her age if it's true. I think she could be her daughter perhaps, her motives would make almost perfect sense then.

Well 4 has been answered. For 3, he said he felt guilty, he said it was his fault that the Locust came out of underground, and that he wanted them back underground. I guess he didn't want to wipe out the Locust, maybe he thought they could benefit mankind. I'm thinking that the Locust actually conversed with him when he was kept, and they treated them like one of their own soldiers, so maybe Adam saw the good side of the Locust? Who knows. Let's hope for a DLC Campaign Mission.
