View Full Version : Can you be Down But Not Out on Insane mode (coop)???

Just what the title says...

We were playing 3 player coop on Hardcore the other night and a friend joined the game on Insane. Every time he got downed, he was dead. No reviving. Is this how Insane mode is all the time? Some parts of that game seem like they are going to be impossible if you can never get downed. Any help/information is appreciated.

I was playing 4player insane yesterday, an my teammates woud go DBNO, but I NEVER went. I just fell to peices every time I died.

Are you sure they were on Insane? I was thinking maybe they don't let you go DBNO if everyone is not on Insane, so that people can't cheese Insane by one person playing on Insane and everyone else on easy.

This is what I thought afterwards. like gears 2 was, each player cant choose their own difficulty. But even is solo campaign, my mates go down, but I just get gibbed. This is the only plausable explaination...

you should try playing ti in Arcade mode since you can respawn

If you are on insane by yourself, can you get DBNO or do you die when you are down? Anyone know off hand?

Yes, you can be DBNO on Insane. It happens if you don't die at all. I was just playing a 4-player co-op run just now, I know.

What do you mean by the bolded part? Were your other friends on Insane mode as well?

OK, so me and a friend did Act 4 on Insane last night (the first 3 chapters) to get the cluckshot easter egg. We could NOT get downed. There was no DBNO. If you took too much damage, you were dead. And that is just stupid, IMO, given how much ammo enemies sponge and the damage they do on Insane, not to mention how stupidly aggressive they are.
