Purchase one DLC, lose another?

So I bought the Crimson Omen for my lancer, figured, 'ya know, I really like it on there' and I go in to put it on, and i notice something, my FLAME on my Retro Lancer is now LOCKED again?

Flame retro was never supposed to be unlocked. It is planned as a future DLC, probably as part of a promotion. That is why it was locked.

Correct. It's caused from the Golden Wings event. Here's some info:


Unlocks persist as long as you save your profile. The flaming retro is a side effect unlock of the Golden Wings launch event. You should be getting it last I heard. In addition to the gold weapon skins.

The unlock is still available after playing one game in any mode, and as long as you leave flame selected after that, even though the lock shows up the flame skin will work in game.
