Do bots actually know how to revive? I got downed and then they cleared out all the lambents and just stood around just staring at me...

Really? I was surprised how they improved. They always revived me. Compared to Gears 2, when I was crawling and stopped right in front of Doms feet and he didn't do a thing to help me.

They picked me up every time I went down.

Sometimes they will, sometimes they won't... In Gears 3, the bots will assign one bot to go and revive a human player. But sometimes that bot will get distracted by enemies and will forget all about you, even if you are basically drooling on his boots.

When I played with my other half, every time I was downed Baird and Cole happily picked me up, when my other half was downed they just ignored him :D

Favouritism... perhaps...

they're kind of dumb when it comes to reviving in this game.
there's like a 50/50 chance they'll run towards you, and then there's the chance they'll stand beside you dumbfounded until you crawl into that sweetspot in front of them.
