I've only read 2 books, but she's one of my favourite characters in said books and she plays a pretty big roll in them. But in the game, she plays just about the smallest roll possible.

Plus I looked forward to Cole calling her "Boomer Lady" :P

I must admit, I was under the impression that Hoffman and Bernie would play a larger role in the story. They weren't even in it for that long; their only relevance was that Hoffman still had Prescott's encrypted disk.

Me too. It makes sense when she said they're too old and it was addressed in the books, but still. And I assume people who never read the books, don't care much about their role in the game.

Hoffman and Bernie will be in the DLC, guys. That's why Bernie's MP character from Season Pass purchase won't unlock until the November DLC. I'd bet anything it's because her and Hoffman are part of it...

Either way it didn't bother me much because I'd actually have been disappointed if the campaign strayed away too much from the crew: Marcus, Dom, Cole, and Baird.
