How do you unlock the flaming retro lancer?

Earlier I had it unlocked and now I dont.

You will be able to unlock it by playing during a specific event, same as during the beta.

I unlocked it randomly playing ranked. I think it was in Capture the Leader and I got no message, but after I played I had it.

I got it as well. You get no message when it unlocks. Just keep playing and check if you get it.

I was using it one minute next it appears with a padlock symbol and no clues how to re obtain it???? not happy

I have. I obtained the Lambency cheevo and got it, I believe thats how you unlock it.

I got it when I first popped my game in yesterday. Honestly, I have no clue, but I don't think it has anything to do with Lambency Achievement. I swear, I remember I got that skin first game I got on. Well, even before I got in my first game it was there.

rob said they would give it away for a promotion or something but people will be able to get is permanently

It's a glitch related to the Golden Wings event, and it unlocks each time you play a game after loading up Gears 3.
