Alternate Control Setup (Cover to Run "Problem")

I use the Alternate Control Scheme, and in Gears 2, you could roll your thumb from the "A" to "X" button to turn out of cover and keep running. Now you have to make two distinct movements with your thumb, or it doesn't recognize that you pressed "X". It's not a huge problem, and I'm sure I could get used to it, but I don't understand why there was a change. And if it was unintentional, maybe you could tweak that so it could be like it was in Gears 2. It was simpler and was one less thing I had to think about in the heat of battle.
