I have been playing gears one and two since day one! But gears 3 multiplayer has definantly upgraded/stepped up. Im refering to the feel of the gameplay and the smoothness of it. When i shoot my gnasher the bullets hit and damage/kill . There is no laggy b/s getting downed behind walls etc. I am happy im not getting b/s out of my kills and battles over lag and imperfections. When i die, i actually go, dang he got me. Instead of "wtf i shot him point blank range first!" etc. Etc.

Talking with a friend about this yesterday, it's a perfect multiplayer.... no lag, great gameplay, variety (in characters, weapons, maps), doesn't get boring and really satisfying.

Then he said all of that will be forgotten in November with CoD coming out, which is the same as 5 years ago just with different skins; then I felt like crying...

I cancelled my Modern Warfare 3 and Battlefield 3 preorders because I honestly see no reason to get em so soon. I'll wait until the Holidays now. Gears 3 will hold me.
